Badass Business Summit

When you have a vision big enough that it inspires others to help you build it, you did it right.

This is year 5 of the Badass Business Summit.

This is my World Series, and when other people see what we are creating and want to be a part of it, it's just awesome.

Brandon Thornton joined Success Champion Networking in February of this year.

He dove all in and even did his first speech on stage at the Champions Summit held at Rob Bliss The Meeting Place earlier this year.

He saw what we did at the Champions Summit and decided to go all in on the Badass Business Summit.

Brandon introduced us to Robert Annable with Wealth Strategies Advisory Group and VFO Advisory Group.

When I was first introduced to the Badass Business Summit 3 years ago, I had no idea what I would be getting into.

I did know 1 thing – I had a sales problem.

But what I didn’t know was that it wasn’t because I wasn’t a salesperson or that my product/service was bad.

All those things were great.

It was because my network had died off after 10 years of being a Mom with a side hustle.

I had a visibility problem - no one knew me anymore.

I hid behind my computer with my team, building amazing websites, and no one knew about it.

People do buy you, and then the service comes along with it.

Without putting myself out there, on stages, on podcasts, on LinkedIn – I would still be the girl sitting behind the computer thinking her side hustle was a business.

And that’s why I’m excited about the 2024 Badass Business Summit this year.”

3-Foot Rule

One of the easiest ways to network:

Anyone within 3 feet of you must introduce yourself.

It's simple,
Its effective,
And it works!!

Have you ever seen the videos where the young guy asks people driving Lamborghini what they do to make their money?

You get to hear some pretty cool stories and advice.

I want you to treat the 3-foot rule the same way.

Anyone within 3
feet of you, ask
one question:

"How did you get into what you do for a living?"

I've heard some amazing, wild
stories and met some
wonderful people.

Some have become clients, but more have become connections with whom I've helped connect the dots.

Imagine having the courage to ask one question.

How much impact
would it have
on your life?

Stop saying you're building your network; you don't build a network, you earn it.

Just like respect, your connections are earned through generosity, opening doors, and making connections.

People build their networking like they are collecting baseball cards.

Oh, I got the Donnie Boivin rookie card (which would be cool, someone should make trading cards for entrepreneurs). 😂

You're not trying to create the world's largest Rolodex.

You should be trying to make amazing connections that you can support and help.

Don't come at it from what can this person do for me.

Look at it from who can I connect them with. How can I help them?

Every conversation should be focused on opening doors.

Set a goal
Make introductions
Make them impactful
Make 5 to 10 Weekly

How much richer would your connections be?

I don't look for favors, but I love knowing that if I needed one, I had given so much that the favor would come without a second glance.

Know what your networking partners geek out on.

What are their hobbies are
What do they do for fun
What else do they do

You can connect people on different things.

Imagine connecting people because they like

Bourbon
BBQ
Harry Potter
Ren Faires
Cars
Sports
TV Shows (Where are my Wrexham fans)

Take your networking to a whole other level by earning your network vs. building your network.

You earn it by

Being a good person
Doing good things
Opening Doors
Connecting your network
