The 5K is set for Sat. Sept. 26. The courses run along the Trinity Trail with fairly flat routes and great views. Race ends with an after party inside the festival grounds, so you can get your run in, then stay and enjoy all the Oktoberfest fun!

🍺About Maifest🍺
Maifest, a traditional festival in Germany, dates back to the Middle Ages as a celebration of the coming of spring. Like Oktoberfest, German communities gather for music, dancing and German bier and fare. In Fort Worth, our spring may come a little earlier but was still celebrated in May by German immigrants that brought
their tradition to Cowtown. The earliest recorded Maifest in Fort Worth was held in 1882. It was held at various venues including Grunewald Pavilion and Hermann Park throughout the decades. Now held all over the world, Maifest is a colorful part of European culture.

In honor of Earth Day, we would like to take a minute to recognize Fort Worth Parks and Recreation who work every day to preserve and enhance our parks and open spaces! Fort Worth is filled with nature areas, beautiful vegetation and recreational amenities that will be enjoyed for generations to come thanks to this wonderful team! Great news, thanks to our good freinds at Paulaner, Alex will be playing a special show at Fort Worth's coolest restaurant and Beer Garden, Crystal Springs Hideaway . Mark your calendars to catch the show on Thurs., April 23 at 6:30pm. It will be a German Biergarten party that you don't want to miss!
