After a lot of thought, reflection, and honestly some tears, I've decided it's time to announce that we are putting The Barrel House up for sale.
Many of you know that when The Bell sold, it was incredibly unexpected. That place was my passion. I poured every ounce of myself into it and truly loved what it represented. In the midst of that transition, my dad, being the smart finance guy he is, wanted to take advantage of the tax benefits of purchasing another property within a short window of time. With limited time to make a decision, The Barrel House seemed like a great fit.
And in many ways, it was.
The property is beautiful. The history is incredible. The potential is endless. We've hosted weddings, showers, celebrations, and created memories that will last a lifetime. I am grateful for every person who trusted us with their special moments.
But as time went on, it became harder and harder to go through the motions. The truth is, it just isn't aligned with who I am or where I feel I'm meant to be. I've sat with this decision for quite some time, and while it's not easy, it truly feels right. 🙌🏻
I'm at a fork in the road in life. I don't know exactly what my next move is, but I know what it isn't. Life is too short to feel stuck. It's too short to spend your days going through the motions doing something that no longer fulfills you.
For those wondering, all existing contracts and bookings will absolutely be honored by the new owners, and we will continue to fully operate and book events until ownership officially changes hands. Our commitment to our clients remains the same.
As for what's next for me? I honestly don't know.
I've thought about everything from going back to the credit union, to moving to Florida, to becoming a death doula. The truth is, I have no idea what the next chapter looks like. What I do know is that I refuse to make a move just to make a move. I want to sell this beautiful property first and trust that the rest will work itself out.
What I do know is that I have a lot to offer this world. I love working with people. I love helping people. I love bringing people together and creating a space where people feel safe enough to be themselves. Those gifts aren't tied to a building, a title, or a business. They'll come with me wherever I go next. And thanks to both the Bell & Barrel I have been able to discover just who I am! I am FOREVER grateful 🙏🏻🙌🏻

It truly is one of Fort Wayne's hidden gems, and I can't wait to see what the next owner does with it.
