Chilly Challenge Bicycle Tour The Chilly Challenge is an annual New Year's Day bike ride co-sponsored by Three Rivers Velo Sport and Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation.

Multiple distances to choose from. Chili and goodies to warm you up after the ride.

A big thank you to all the bike riders and speed skaters that came out for the ride yesterday. It was great to see familiar faces and new faces, to say hello, and to put in those first miles of the new year.

A big thank you to all the volunteers that are critical to this event continuing to go from year to year.

Hope to see all of you at the 2023 Chilly Challenge, but until then be safe, stay healthy and let your friends and family know how much you love and appreciate them.

We have created a special "wet route" should the weather be liquid rather than solid (as in snow flakes) So come on out and have fun putting on the first miles of the new year.

This ride is a go today no matter the weather.

PSA-if you are showing symptoms that remind you maybe you are coming down with "something" or you've been around someone that has "something" please don't come to the ride. Though this is an outdoor event, cycling is often done in small groups and transmission is highly likely.

Also, we highly encourage everyone to wear a mask before you enter the lodge and while you are near other people. Remember we have a larger venue this year, which lends itself to easier "social distancing".

Let's all have good "clean" (safe) fun together and at the same time looking out for not only your health but others too.

Chris Keesler I hope to see some of your skaters at the ride on Saturday. It's always fun having them "roll" with the cyclists. Be sure to let them know that the ride is leaving from Shoaff Park this year, not Psi Ote Barn. The ride starts from the River Lodge at the back of the park at 1P. Allow extra time beforehand to park the vehicle, sign the waiver forms, and tighten the skates.

The routes are charted, the maps will be available to pick up on the day of the ride, chili, hot chocolate, hot tea, coffee and goodies are being procured as this is being typed, and the weather is looking favorable, considering it's a winter ride.

**Remember the start location has changed from previous years and it's leaving from Shoaff Park, the River Lodge, located towards the back of the park near the river.

We are ready for the ride and look forward to seeing new and familiar faces on Saturday, January 1st!
