We’re looking for 12-16 inch tall vases & a bunch of tiny pumpkins/gourds for our table decorations.
Our critters will be excited to see the gourds (of all sizes) after the party 🐽🐽🐽

“I learned that it wasn’t about us, it’s about the spirit of the horses & how that affects us. I liked riding for a greater good, something bigger than all of us an that I might have had something to do with any good that came of it. I was proud to ride with the BraveHearts an just as proud to ride with our crew. We had the easy part, just riding. The behind-the-scenes logistics, all the help we had was where the work was. It taught me to love my horse even more.”

These horses help develop empathy & camaraderie. So many of our veterans (& other people) come to us in survival mode & have not thought of others beyond their immediate needs.
These same people now check in on each other, volunteer around the farm in their spare time & genuinely care about each other. Because the horses made them feel seen & valued.
Your support for the Cavalry through spreading the word, volunteering, attending our events & donations is what makes this possible.

Some of the veterans who participated in the Trail to Zero have reflected on the experience. I want to share their thoughts.
When you support Summit Equestrian you’re not just feeding horses or keeping the lights on, you’re saving lives & giving people hope.

“The Trail to Zero experience is the perfect example of reverence. You can’t truly show respect for the heroes who lost their battle with pain, without experiencing some pain yourself. Trail to Zero requires the proverbial “Blood, sweat, and tears” from it’s participants. Through training for and the ride itself participants are tested both physically and mentally. You are not only challenged with developing relationships with people but also a 1000+ pound mammal. The bond required between the rider and their horse is something that few people are blessed with the chance to experience. BraveHearts gives veterans a chance to live with purpose again while at the same time raising awareness for the tragedy of veteran su***de. If we can all reach out and let veterans that athere are programs like these we may be able to get that number to drop. Even those vets who have given up on doctors and even familyin the pursuit of some semblance of a “life” maybe try a horse.”

This past Saturday our Cavalry took to the streets of Fort Wayne to bring awareness to the crisis of veteran su***de. This crisis is personal for us as several of them have lost friends to su***de or have been close themselves.
Programs like ours change the conversation. Our Cavalry helps veterans find community, connection & purpose. They are ambassadors that reach out to help other veterans.

Stock the Barn is how we make this possible. The money raised goes directly to support the logistics that make this program possible. Join us as we continue to support this worthy cause.
