π The Tournament of Champions comes by its name honest.
Before the fame of the WNBA, Sophie Cunningham was making her mark right here on the hardwood in the Fort Smith ToC.
In 2013, her Rock Bridge High School team came to the Fort Smith Tournament of Champions, left as TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS, and Sophie went home nominated to the All-Tournament team AND as Tournament MVP! ππ
Today, sheβs playing professionally for the Indiana Feverβ οΏΌ, where she remains on the 2026 roster.
Thatβs part of what makes the ToC special.
For almost 3 decades, some incredibly talented young women have stepped onto our court in Fort Smith, and you never know when you might be watching a future college standout, All-American or WNBA player before the rest of the basketball world knows her name.
She played here. She won here. She was MVP here. All with the Heart of a Champion.
And this December, another group of future stars will take the floor.
