🥬 A tradition worth bringing home.

Last year in Japan, my cousin shared with me how fermented foods are simply part of their culture and everyday way of eating. That conversation stuck with me.

Cultures known for traditional diets and longevity, including Japan and parts of the Mediterranean, have long included fermented foods in their diets. They can support gut health, digestion, and the beneficial bacteria our bodies need.

I came home wanting to be more intentional about eating them, and now I’m excited to bring them to Pitts Cattle Farm Market!

We are now carrying beautifully made fermented foods from Sunrise & Thyme, made with clean ingredients and lots of care.

Sometimes getting back to simple, traditional foods is a pretty good place to start. 💛

I teach a simple, practical method designed to help beginners understand not just what to do, but why we do it.

Hi friends! 🌿 If you’ve been wanting to learn sourdough but feel a little overwhelmed by it all, come spend a couple of hours with me and learn how simple sourdough can really be!
In my hands-on Sourdough Workshop, we explore the why, what, and how of sourdough, with simple techniques and routines you can easily use at home.
🍞 We make two types of sourdough bread — classic artisan bread and soft sandwich bread — and learn how to use leftover (discard) starter to make easy favorites like crackers, cookies, and quick “instant” pizza!
And of course, we have to taste everything! We enjoy a beautiful charcuterie board with our sourdough creations and fermented vegetables while we learn. It’s a fun, relaxed experience!
You’ll go home with:
• Your own jar of mature sourdough starter
• All the recipes from class, plus extras
• Simple instructions for maintaining your starter
• A mini-loaf of sourdough bread, ready to rise and bake at home
My goal is for you to leave feeling confident and excited to make sourdough in your own kitchen!

I didn't start sourdough because it was trendy.
I started because I saw how much traditional knowledge had quietly disappeared.
When people leave my workshops, they don't just leave with dough-- they leave with confidence and a new skill!
