Well...from the comments we've gotten so far, it seems like the participants enjoyed our Anniversary Show. As with any Car Show, we've had some criticism and, in all honesty, we will be discussing these in our take-away meeting tomorrow night. There's always room for improvement and your feedback through the years helped us build the way to our largest, most well-received show in 25 years so, thank you for that!

Now, on to a serious topic that I've touched on a couple of times before: we need new blood. The initial vision is still our vision today. That is to annually put on an event for enthusiasts of all things automotive to enjoy. That takes planning and dedication and work from the Committee members. BUT...without a committee dedicated to this event, it will eventually end. So, if you've ever thought to yourself "I'd like to be a part of that", now is the time to come join us! Let a committee member know...send a note to us at [email protected]...message me on here.

Now, we come to the Final Awards. These 3 are a bit different because:

1. The Participant's Choice Award is the Top vote-getter of the Top 50 so the winner is both a Top 50 Award Winner and the Participant's Choice Winner, as chosen by the Participants. This years winner is the beautiful 1938 Chevrolet Coupe in a perfect shade of pewter owned by Bryan Corah

2. The Millenium Award winner is drawn from a specific group of all cars...those cars built from 2000 onward. Again, this winner is chosen by all the Participants. This year's winner is Eric Spittles in a 2021 Honda Civic Type R, done up in an eye-searing shade of Pearl Blue with accents of red

3. Finally, we have the Commissioner's Choice Award, which is awarded to the County Commissioners' choice as "their" award-winning tractor. This year's winner is the little Ford 8N, in Ford Red and Gray, operated and owned by Kevin Isham.

Congratulations to the 3 of you AND to ALL our Award Winners. Hope to see you back at the Fall Harvest Car Show next year on Friday September 18th, Saturday September 19th and Sunday (Awards Day) September 20th.

Something the Fall Harvest Car Show Committee believes in is that, for all of us...if we want our hobby/work/passion, etc. to keep going...we must get the young folks...keep the young folks...interested in these vehicles. That is one reason for the car show - not only to present these vehicles for our enjoyment...but to show everyone that the car hobby can be a fun, worthwhile thing to indulge in. Another way we do that is be awarding the young people for the efforts they have put forth into their vehicles, whether they be a classic, a hot rod, a rat rod, a drifter.

So here, let us recognize the 4 young winners of the Young Adult (16-21) group. Before I do that, let me extend our thanks to Larry Harris and his family for their generous support and involvement in this group.

1. First up is A.J. Mese in a 1975 Volkswagen Beetle in a flashy Green and Silver

2. Next, in a stealthy black 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is Alyssa Herman

3. Then comes Savanna Enfante in a 1995 Ford Bronco done up all in black except for the pink name.

4. Finally, we have Scarlette Howell in a sweet 1960 Nash Metropolitan in purple and white.

Thanks to you young folks for your participation and enthusiasm.
