Fall Harvest Car Show The Fall Harvest Car Show has become one of the largest car shows held on the Northeastern Plains of Colorado, featuring around 350 entrants each year.

The car show is held annually on the third weekend in September and this year it will be held September 20 - 22nd in beautiful downtown Fort Morgan, Colorado. The show features rods, muscle cars, classics, rat rods, antiques, pickups, special interest vehicles, motorcycles, classic tractors There is a little bit of something for everyone.The three day show includes: show ‘n’ shines, awards, door prizes, vendors, a free movie at the local downtown Cover Theater, a poker run, a pancake breakfast, and a b**r garden nearby ...plus plenty of shopping opportunities in the downtown stores.

What's on my mind?

Several things actually...how great the Car Show was: good music, good participants, good spectators, good vendors, good sponsors.
The new category of semi-trucks and how well this went over with the crowd and the participants.
A few snafus (which are always going to occur) but they were dealt with promptly and successfully.
The Committee...I feel privileged to work with the people I do. They're all hard workers, especially behind the scenes, and they all want each show to somehow be better than the last and they set out each year to make it be just that.

And finally, the other thing on my mind...the Special Awards category wherein the Participant's Choice, The Millenial Choice, and the Commissioner's Choice are recognized.
The Participant's Choice is decided by number of votes each car gets from the Participants.
The Millennial Choice must be a vehicle from this century...so far 2000 - 2026.
The Commissioner's Choice is chosen by the County Commissioner and recognizes an individual tractor owner and their tractor.

Cruising along with his beautiful 1968 Plymouth Road Runner in a soft but striking Pearlescent White is Brian Holzworth

The Millennial Choice this year is Eric Knox in a hawt ZO6 Corvette clad in Burnt Orange with accents of stealthy Black

Looking to stir up some earth is John Eisenach's 1941 John Deere B with a Cultivator

Now, we come to the Special Awards:

1st we have the Police Chief Award. This year's winner is Jimmy Martin in his 1964 Chevy Impala in RED

Next we have the Fire Chief's Award which goes to Marcus Irving in his sweet 1960 Pontiac Bonneville in skirts and a Continental Kit

We then have the Mayor's Award going to Verl Forbes in his dark green 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Next up, a series of Memorial Awards,,,

The Coty Griffith Memorial Best Paint Award (sponsored by Troy Griffith Auto Body): Clark Easdon in his 1950 Bright Yellow Chevy Pickup

The Devon Bender Memorial Pick goes to Rusty and Belinda Wilford in their 1961 Chevy 4x4 Pickup done up in Orange

The Friends of Rhonda Hamann Memorial Award goes to Verl Forbes in his 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

The Cheryl Baumgartner Memorial Award is given this year to Rick and Lance Wilson who roll up in a 1963 Chevrolet Impala in Snow White

A different category this year arrives as The Most Wicked Engine and it is gathered in by Royce Payton in his 1968 Blue Chevy Camaro

Best Foreign Car this year went to Tyson Clausen in a 1972 Mercedes 280 SE in dark gray

To end this group, we have the Sunday's Choice Award (sponsored byTony Grosso), Mr. John McGuire in his 1979 Super Beetle aka "Herbie" (I'm sure you know why ;-) )

A special feature introduced this year was the Semi-Truck Category. Just like our Tractor category, these vehicles play an important role in supporting our agricultural community. 10 trucks participated this year and we want to give a special thanks to Spencer and Tyler McCracken for coordinating this event.

Rolling up in a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe in a vibrant Gulf Stream Aqua is Lisa Swarts

Michael Bauer rumbles down the road in a 1930 Ford Model A with a classic chop, dressed in Classic Black with Flames

Clark Easdon brings us his Yellow chopped and pinstriped 1950 Chevrolet Pickup

Frank Appelhans motors along in his 1932 Ford Roadster, Black with cream wheels and a beautiful tan top

Ryan Allen approaches none too quietly in a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in an attention-grabbing Orange

Jeff and Nicole Wagner cruise along in this classy 1969 two-tone Brown/Tan Ford F100 pickup

Lee and Juanita Barella, a very sweet couple, graced us again with their 1947 Ford COE in Black and Blue and loaded down with some sweet rides

Randy Jakel brings us his 1980 Chevrolet Scottsdale in an original factory shade of Nantucket Blue

Brandon Fordham likes the open air as demonstrated by his 1923 Ford T-Bucket in Black and Orange

In a stealthy black on black 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is Robert Snyder

Sonny Swarts and his Deep Cherry Red 1849 Ford Pickup rejoin us again this year and we're glad!

In a Cream-colored 1965 GMC 4000 Ramp Truck, with some nice cargo aboard, is Terry Henry

Tim and Ritchie Grayberger stand proudly next to their two-tone...of Brown and Tan...1941 Ford pickup

Every year for the last 26 years, Larry and Shirley Harris have supported the F.H.C.S. by sponsoring the trophies for the Young Adult car enthusiasts from age 16 - 21.
Here in no particular order are this year's winners.

Nate Dahl and his sweet 1977 Ford F150, standing tall in Burgundy and Gray

Next, we have Marcellus Masias in his Light Gray 1978 Chevy Camaro

In a really kewl Miami Blue is the Classic 1955 Plymouth Belvedere piloted by Jessen Araujo

Last, but certainly not least, is the English Ford Thames belonging to Cassidy Means. She calls that color "Mostly Black"!

Show these young folks some love and hit hat like button for their photos and do your part to encourage the future classic car owner...be it restored, hot rodded or customized...in your circle.

Alright...so it's only been 3 days since the Awards and now I am going to start putting the Award Winning Vehicles out there.

So, here we go with the first round of 15 of our Top 50 Award Winners in no particular order.
