It’s another GORGEOUS day for the Fort Madison Farmers Market!

The veggie season is in full swing, so tonight is the perfect time to stock up on fresh produce, grab a little something sweet from our bakers and see what else is being offered!

🌶️ WHAT ARE YOU MAKING TONIGHT? SALSA! 🍅

There’s nothing better than salsa made with fresh-from-the-market tomatoes, peppers and onions. Grab what you need tonight and make a batch to enjoy fresh or jar some up for later!

FRESH MARKET SALSA
🍅 4–5 ripe tomatoes, diced
🫑 1 bell pepper, diced
🧅 ½–1 onion, finely diced
🌶️ 1–2 jalapeños, finely diced
🌿 ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
🍋 Juice of 1 lime
🧂 Salt & pepper to taste

Mix everything together, let it sit for 15–20 minutes so the flavors can mingle, and dig in with your favorite tortilla chips!

🔥 Want to turn up the heat? Try some Tai Chilies at the market tonight for anyone who likes their salsa with a kick. These small peppers are 15 times hotter than a jalapeno!
