If you have loved the Tequesta Drum Circle these past TWENTY years - yes TWENTY! - I suggest the next TWO even though the Fall Equinox falls on Monday, September 22, 2025. Then the Winter Solstice falls on Sunday, December 21, 2025. All things conclude, eventually. All things remain at last only as a memory. But all things in Spirit are eternal as Spirit encompasses all time. Let's make some memories.

I will write more intro as we move forward. 😀

☆ IT'S CALLED RESPECT ☆

Before you cut the branch of a tree or remove a flower, tell the spirit of the tree or plant what you are going to do, so it can withdraw its energy from that place and not feel so strong the cut.

When you go out into the wild and want to take a stone that was in the river, ask the river ranger if he allows you to carry on… See more

Today, Earth reached aphelion—the point in its orbit where it is farthest from the Sun. While Earth’s orbit is nearly circular, it’s actually a slight ellipse, meaning our distance from the Sun changes over the year. At aphelion, which typically occurs in early July, our planet is about 152.1 million kilometers (about 94.5 million miles) from the Sun—roughly 5 million kilometers farther than during perihelion in early January, when we’re closest. Compared to the average distance of about 149.6 million kilometers, that’s around 2.5 to 3 million kilometers farther. This variation may sound dramatic, but it has little effect on our seasons—those are driven by Earth’s axial tilt, not its distance from the Sun. Still, aphelion is a reminder that even our orbit around the Sun is a subtle cosmic dance, slightly off-center yet perfectly tuned.

The Solstice has arrived! Swiftly. It's firecracker hot outside and the humidity rolls off your brow, a cascade of Florida's summer spirit, firefly glow and buzzing mosquito swarms, echoes of centuries of sweltering subtropical cycles. The loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings begin their challenging journey to the Sargassum dodging all odds against their survival of one in thousands making it to maturity. The Wet Season commences, with the heating Atlantic promising to bring greater storms on a course for change. Change has accelerated. The Earth stirs. The Sun erupts and in turn volcanism is peaking across the sphere. The Earth fevers. Her illness, acute. Her progeny's destructive path has bound its destiny. A chosen manifestation. Radical destinations. Assured divine Impetus invoked. Evolution will find a path forward, and after generations of explosive creation a new face of our world will be known. We are the transition, however. The challenge is set before us. At Summer we come to fulfill our incarnation's maximum potential. The fire of the Self realized. Our calling renewed. At the Fire we gather. With the Drum we renew. Symbiosis with the Earth and destiny. Celebrating like this for 20 years at the same location, in honor of all our ancestors who celebrated as such for millenia. We herald the Summer at Solstice. Harness it's potential. Make it yours. We really hope to see you there!
