In a county where more than 53% of our residents are Black, Black-owned businesses are an important part of our community, our economy, and the spaces available for us to gather. When we have them, we should value them, support them, and respect them.

We want everyone who uses our venue to celebrate, enjoy themselves, and have a wonderful time. However, after last night’s event, bottles and other trash were left in neighboring yards, Rotary Park, and a church parking lot. Flowers were also removed from nearby businesses and used as trash bins. These pictures are the ones I'm choosing to share as they are social media friendly.
This is not acceptable. When you are a guest at MaxMo’s, you are also a guest of our neighboring businesses, churches, and community. Plenty of trash cans are available, please use them.
I picked up as much trash as I could last night, but because it was dark, I may have missed some areas. If any of our neighbors see something that still needs attention, please contact me.
Everyone is welcome to have a good time, but respect for our community is required. We must, and will… do better. This is your community too & let's represent like the kings & queens that we are!

📚 September is Literacy Month, and reading is fun ANYTIME! 📚

MaxMo’s Reading Program may have started with summer reading in mind, but we believe children should have access to books and opportunities to grow their love of reading all year long.

These books are available for children and families to pick up at the St. Francis County CARE Center. Take a book home, read together, build a child’s personal library, and help us keep encouraging strong readers.

As we recognize Literacy Month this September, let’s remember that every book opened can open a child’s mind to something new. ❤️📖

The past few weeks have been incredibly busy, and we truly want to thank each and every one of you and your families for continuing to support our family business. What started as a vision to help revitalize our city while also providing for our family has grown into something so special because of this community.
We are a small, modest business, but for over 10 years we have remained consistently busy, continuing to improve, grow, and add to our space along the way. Every event, every booking, every kind word, and every recommendation has helped us continue building and investing back into MaxMo’s.
We appreciate you for allowing us to be a part of your celebrations and milestones. From gender reveals, baby showers, birthdays, and first birthdays to community gatherings and special occasions, it has been an honor to watch so many beautiful memories being made within these walls.
It has also been wonderful to watch so many talented local businesses continue to grow and bloom in their fields, from caterers and decorators to event planners and creatives. Seeing everyone work together to create unforgettable moments has truly been a pleasure. While we are a business, we never take your support lightly. We also believe in giving back and helping our community whenever possible, following the calling and direction the Good Lord places on our hearts.
Thank you, Forrest City and the surrounding areas, for your continued love and support. We are grateful beyond words and look forward to many more celebrations together. 💙
