Fluvanna Music Festival Makindu Children's Program Fundraiser Celebrate. Contribute. Relax. All of the proceeds from this festival are being donated to the Makindu Children's Program.

Come join us out in the country for a day of music, fun, and relaxation to support a good cause. When: Saturday, October 27, 2012

The Little Big Farm is hosting a celebration of life and giving. Musicians from different cultures including Reggae, Blueg

rass, Country, Eclectic, and Folk are coming out to share and support AIDS orphans in Africa. This is an outdoor all-day event where you can bring your family and friends to hang out and enjoy the country. The Makindu Children's Program supports a resource facility in a rural region of eastern Kenya. The Centre provides nutritional, medical and emotional support, access to basic education, and opportunities for vocational training for over 400 destitute AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children. The children live in guardian homes in the community, and can come to the Centre daily for food, recreation, bathing, and laundering facilities, emotional support, and crisis intervention. What a great show! The musicians were amazing. Thanks to everyone who played. We made over $700 dollars that I will be sending to the children's program. Also a huge thanks to all the volunteers who made it possible.

Bryants Ford may not come on GPS (too rural) so here are directions.

From the east get on Route 6 (River Road.) About 40 miles west of Richmond you come to the town of Columbia. Go through Columbia and one mile west of town cross over the Rivanna River. Bryants Ford is just after that on the right.

From the west. Take 64 east to the Zion Crossroads exit. Go south on 15 about 18 miles to Route 6 (River Road.) Go about 2 miles to Bryants Ford on the left. If you get to the bridge over the Rivanna, you have gone too far.
