Pro tip: Lighting matters. Like, A LOT. 👏🏾

ChatGPT can give you the prettiest event rendering in the world, but if you don’t know to tell it what the lighting is doing, you’ll completely skip lighting in your setup.

Natural light? Beautiful.
Overhead lights? Functional.
But candlelight + uplighting? Now we’re talking. ✨

The same setup can feel completely different once the lights go down and the ambiance comes up. So the next time you’re planning an event, or asking ChatGPT to help you visualize one, don’t forget to talk about the lighting. That little detail can take a setup from “cute” to “OH. THIS IS A VIBE.” 🥂✨

“I don’t listen to people who tell me I should raise my prices…”

Why? Because it was never about ME.

The Loft wasn’t created with the goal of making me rich. It was created because I know what it feels like to have an idea, a business, a mission … and not have access to a decent and affordable space to bring it to life.

I wanted to create the kind of space I would want to find for myself. A place where a small business owner can host a workshop and still make a profit after paying for space.

A space where a coach can gather clients. Where someone can bring an idea out of their head and into a room. Where people can celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, milestones and the moments that deserve recognition.

Does that mean I don’t want The Loft to be profitable? Absolutely not. 😂🤭😂

But profitability isn’t the ONLY measure of success for me.

Access matters. Community matters. Impact matters.

And if keeping The Loft accessible means I have to build a little differently, then I’m okay with that … Because The Loft has always been about creating a space for other people to move forward too.

And honestly?

That matters to me more than being able to say I charge the most. 🖤🤎🤍

I know you lyin’‼️

I know ya’ll not out here thinking that I would completely remove your ability to host an intimate dinner in The Front Room 😒

NOPE 🙂‍↔️

The pool table was added for entertainment but did you know that this ONE table has THREE personalities?

🎱 Pool
🏓 Ping pong
🍽️ Dining table for up to 12

With the tabletop, you can dine. Flip the tabletop over and you have a Ping Pong table. Remove the tabletop completely and the dining table becomes a pool table.

The Front Room is still the same … Small enough for an intimate gathering. Flexible enough to switch it up when the food is gone 😉 Let’s just say the Front Room likes to do a little bit of everything.

It’s our ANNIVERSARY 🎉🎉🎉

One year ago today, the doors of The Loft were opened … And whew, what a year it has been!

What started as an idea, a lot of faith, and more than a few, “Lord, I pray this works” moments has turned into a space that has hosted 33 events in its first year. 33! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

We’ve gathered, celebrated, created, connected, laughed, learned, shared meals, made memories, and watched this little space become so much more than just walls.

Naturally, The Loft still growing, evolving, and I am still dreaming up new ways to serve you and create experiences that make you want to come back, bring somebody with you, and maybe stay a little longer than you planned😉

To every person who rented the space, attended an event, hosted a celebration, collaborated with us, referred a friend, shared a post, encouraged us, or simply said, “I’ve been meaning to check The Loft out…”, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart 🖤🤎🤍 Your support has meant more than you know.

I am thankful. I am grateful. I am blessed.
