Manito - Forest City Rotary Club Annual Consignment Sale The Annual Manito - Forest City Rotary Club consignment sale is held on the first Saturday in March. We have multiple auctioneers working several sale rings.

Over 1,000 items, over 1,000 buyers average every year. All proceeds from the sale benefit local community organizations. We also give out several thousands of dollars each year in college scholarships to local students. Some important notes about the sale (updated 2017)

When is the sale?: First Saturday in March, Bidding starts at 10am Sharp

When can I consign items?: Items can be consigned beg

inning on the Wednesday immediately prior to the sale through the day of the sale, at the Forest City Campground Park. Hours are typically 10am to 5pm. What are the commissions charged for items sold? Please look through our feed for the most recent commission schedule

What types of items are sold at the sale? Anything and everything you can imagine, however we do not allow the sale of fi****ms, and certain items have restrictions, such as tires. Other notes:
We do not allow minimum bids to be set on items, but there is no charge to buy an item back, excluding titled vehicles. Vehicles: We charge a $25.00 fee to list a vehicle for sale. However, if the vehicle is sold the fee will be taken off of the commission. Any one item sold for less than $5.00 is considered a donation.

Tonight, our club President Tony Burks paid a visit to one of our veteran auctioneers, Kevin Palmer. Kevin is holding the plaque that we gave him for appreciation of his 50 years of service to auctioneer at our annual sale. We couldn’t have done it without him over the years. The 69th Annual Rotary Sale a HUGE Success!

On March 7th, the Manito-Forest City Rotary Club held its 69th Annual Consignment Sale at the Forest City Park. The weather was a little wet and muddy but people still showed up! The Rotary Club is grateful to everyone that donates their time to make this event run smoothly! Many people and groups/organizations came together to make the Rotary Sale a successful event! Funds gained from the Annual Rotary Sale help support great community programs such as Snow Buddies, Emmanuel’s Warehouse, Cub Scouts, Senior Meals and Midwest Central High School/College Scholarships…just to name a few !
Here are some behind the scenes numbers from the 2026 Rotary Sale:

-703 Buyer Numbers Given Out
-8 Auctioneers & 4 Clerks
-35 High Schoolers from 9 Different School Organizations/Clubs and the Cub Scouts.

Students volunteered to put up fliers before the sale, helped set up and tear down, worked a few hours at the sale and some even worked the whole day! Students welcomed people, gave out buyer numbers, ran sheets from the auctioneer trucks, were cashiers, entered data into the computers, helped in the concessions area, sorted tickets and assisted auctioneers holding up items! It Was A “Raider Nation” Effort!!!

-600 Pork Chops & 300 Hot Dogs Sold
-927 items were sold plus a few racks
-A top 5 net profit sale since records started to be kept in 1993!

A special thanks to the Rotary members, and all extra volunteers who helped put on the event. It truly takes a village.
