Hey everyone! It’s been a while. Too long in fact! Many of you have now reached out about the status of the race for this fall but we will be delaying the return of this event until 2022. We love you all and look forward to an October 2022 race day!

The Chucktown Showdown had such a great 2019! Moving the race to Folly Beach was a huge success on so many levels and we are grateful and appreciative for all the racers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and spectators who made it the best year yet!

👏👏 This is awesome! Meredith and Scott got a taste of what it’s like to be on the other side of a paddle race, as volunteers at Chattajack 31. 👏👏

We always welcome feedback on how to improve (but believe me, we are our toughest critics) but it is overwhelming how much goes into hosting a positive and safe event! Would you be willing to put the paddle down and volunteer at a race?

Last weekend we made the 9-hour drive Chattanooga, TN for Chattajack, the 31 mile endurance SUP race down the Tennessee River Gorge. The ocean start at the Chucktown Showdown was challenging but for most it was the good kind of challenging. Sort of like life, it was the kind of thing you just keep at until you are through the roughest part, which made your ready for the next challenge on the course and ultimately made crossing that finish line oh, so sweet! 💪

What a change in the weather this week! Glad we got one of the last weekends of summer weather for the race! We had warm temps, sunshine and a bit of wind (so the stories say) 😂 Here is a view from the ocean side of the course with Folly Beach in the background!
