Floyd Herb Fest is right around the corner. As a way to continue to keep our community safe - this year's Festival will be live on Facebook.

Throughout the weekend facilitators and teachers from around the Appalachia will be joining us via Facebook Live and video. We'll be sharing a plant walk with CoreyPine Shane, children's activities with Laura Baum, Boradfork demonstration with Laura Quesinberry, Drum Circle with Jean Howard and more!

The Road to Herb Fest 2021

With all that’s uncertain these days, I’m excited to share that the Floyd Herb Fest is still on the horizon. A bit different than we had originally planned, but the road to Herb Fest 2021 is an exciting one.

The first stop along the road is April 17-19, our original festival date, instead of gathering for the weekend at Chantilly Farm, the Herb Fest will go live on Facebook. Featuring many of our originally planned facilitators joining from their homes, our virtual event will include Plant Walks, Herbal Education Sessions, Garden Tips, Healing Arts, Drum Circles, fun for the young ones and more. Schedule to be announced soon!

In addition to the live classes, a Virtual Village Market will be taking place on Facebook all weekend long. Please support the many home based businesses that are part of the Herb Fest family, while you shop for Herbal Remedies, Teas, Natural Skin Care products, Artisan goodies and more to be delivered to your home.

As the days get warmer many of us are eager to start our gardens….be sure to save a spot for some beautiful new plants! Our next stop along the Herb Fest Road will be in May for will host a small, local Plant Sale! We will announce that The date will be announced and more with more details on May 1st. Even though May seems late in the season, our plant vendors are working hard to ensure their plants have a great Spring start, are happy, healthy and ready for your garden. Giving special attention to the safety of our communities, we will be providing a socially distant, no contact, shopping experience with a drive through pickup. .

Then join us in late summer at Chantilly Farm for our last stop on the Herb Fest Road! Appalachian Roots - Heritage Conference - The date & details to be released in May.

Thank you for your patience as we find our footing in these new waters. As you can imagine we have hundreds of participants, facilitators and vendors to contact. For those who have purchased immersion passes, our Herb Fest team will be in touch soon to navigate issuing refunds.

COVID 19 is consuming most conversations today. While we are very aware of the complexity of issues, we are holding space for peace, wellness and support of community.

You may have heard that the VA governor has banned gatherings over 500 people for the next 30 days. Thankfully Floyd Herb Fest is 7 days after the date that these guidelines are expected to be lifted.

It’s our hope that as communities around the nation take the proper precautions, we practice social distancing and become more aware of our personal care during this National 30 day pause, we will see things improve over the next few weeks.

We are excited to share that, as of now, we are planning on the festival going forward as planned!
