Creative Writing Club (ftmhs cWc) {for Strangers, Alumni n'd the Present} Welcome to the Creative Writing Club Group "Like" Page. This Page is meant for Poetry Posts, Shared {from cWc. So, too does Florence Memorial High School!

fhs Script} The “Elizabethans” had Shakespeare, the “Modernists” had Hemingway, the “Beats” had Ferlinghetti. Every literary genre has a community of respected and published writers. Come join the Creative Writing Club and be a part of our literary movement here on campus. Club trips and activities include a class trip to a state park for some nature writing, the Teen Arts Festival and a possible

outing to a poetry reading/poetry slam. Come write with us and make your mark on Florence and the World. All writers (published and unpublished; unpolished and refined) accepted. The Creative Writing club sponsors a monthly poetry slam. Keep your eyes and ears open for the next event!

Here’s a new one from me

“Lead Me On”

Just when I thought it was all over for me,
Just when I wanted to end it all.
Just when I lost all hope and choked on my faith,
Did loyalty exist at all?

Since forever, I’ve had my let downs and failures,
I’m used to everything falling apart.
I’ve had to run away, and hide, keep my love inside,
I built a wall around my heart.

You came into my life from out of nowhere
You seemed to be the only one who wants to care

Lead me on, give me false hope!
Keep me thinking that you’re the one for me!
Lead me on, my trust is the rope!
Pull me higher, just so I can see...
That you don’t love me, although I think you do!
Lead me on, blind is this love,
Just be sure, I believe every single lie!
Lead me on, my heart is right here!
Throw it away, then leave the rest of me behind!
Walk away like you never knew me, you were never true...

Just when I thought that you were gonna stay,
When I thought you wanted me.
You dropped the act and gave a laugh
You pointed and taunted me!

Your filthy joke was one so cruel,
Buttered me up just to make me the fool

Lead me on, then push me away!
Keep pretending that you want me around!
Lead me on, just to see my heart break,
Rip it out, then stomp it on the ground!
Come on, just do it now, I know you really want to!
Lead me on, make me feel good,
Then waste my time, I’ll never get it back!
Waste it away, drain it all down,
I reach for my love, but it skips through the cracks!
Lead me on, lead me on, that’s all you love to do!

I originally wrote this about a year ago. My first angsty poem in a while.

"Break Your Soul" by Billy Blackwell

You played victim the entire time
And even played me as well
The time has come for me to expose you
And show you a living hell
You said you loved me, but you didn't show,
But I loved you back anyway
I heard that you ran off with him
So here is what I say:

I hope he breaks your heart,
Breaks your trust, breaks your mind
Breaks your soul

You whined and cried that you cannot
Find the one for you
I was always there, I was good enough,
I was always gonna be true
You got rid of me, you threw me out,
I wasn't good enough anymore
You found a new victim, by playing one
A matter of time till you get bored!

I hope he breaks your heart,
Breaks your trust, breaks your mind
Breaks your soul

Your pretty smile will disappear,
Bright eyes will forever cry
Your beating heart will freeze from rejection
Inside you will slowly die
He shall make you feel the way
You cursed someone like me
Broken, beaten, scarred and tired
You can have the pain inside me!

I want him to break your heart,
Break your trust, break your mind
Break your soul!
