We welcome Buckham Gallery to FZF! Buckham Gallery is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in downtown Flint, Michigan. The gallery has been an anchor of the
Flint art community since its inception in 1984! Buckham has a Writer in Residence program that engages literary artists to respond to each of BFAP’s gallery exhibitions in their contemporary literary art form, with each residency culminating in a publication of writing produced during the project, which they will have at the fest! We also welcome Felicia Krol to the FZF lineup! Felicia is a writer and educator based in Detroit, where she works as a Writer-in-Residence with InsideOut Literary Arts and lives alongside many ghosts, her partner, two cats, and one ethereal Dalmatian. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in journals such as Hayden's Ferry Review, Mid-American Review, and Rattle. A child of fabulism and ordinary strangeness, her work is concerned with themes both earthly and un: nature and breath and a thousand gorgeous horrors, the magic in the mundane, the bugs in the grass, the moon. Today is FILLED with cool things to do in Flint!
-Join us for the Flint Zine Fest’s Zine Workshop at the Flint Public Library from 11AM-1PM to learn some cool zine history and learn to make your OWN zines!

-The Infinity Clash put on by our friend and fellow zinester Tyler Zickafoose is a pop culture market with 50+ artists, crafters, filmmakers and more! Check it out at 3139 Hogarth Ave in Flint from 11AM-7PM

-Head over to Factory Two to celebrate the Local’s final 40th Anniversary show and the Freak Baby Bazaar, where we’ll be hanging out and promoting Flint Zine Fest as well - and our friends at Freak Baby Zine are releasing their very first issue so you can grab a copy, peruse the market, then enjoy some awesome music!! Bazaar opens at 4PM, come hang out!

AND if you’ve never had it before, you should stop by the Fork In Nigeria food truck that will be at 402 W. Court today! (the vegan jollof and zobo tea are our favorites!)
