Get your costume ready for the 3rd edition of the Halloween Hustle. We’re SO excited for our last race of the year, hosted by Crossroads Village, on Saturday, October 24! In honor of Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad’s 50th anniversary, we are offering even more expansions and incentives! This year’s event will include the 5K run and walk, Kids’ Trick-or Trot (¼ and ½ mile distances), and the NEW, first-ever Crim Half Marathon: the Halloween Half!

All Half Marathon and 5K finishers receive a custom 4” medal and a fall-themed, long sleeved shirt. Kid Trick-or-Trotters receive a custom 4” medal and have the option to add a shirt in their registration. After the race, make sure to join us at the post-race celebration for food and refreshments (donuts, cider, pizza, fruit, Absopure water, and more), plus a great selection of adult beverages for those 21+, and music from Dan Devins and the Blues Delegation, provided by Flint Institute of Music!

Join us Saturday, October 3 for the 5K on the RUNway, presented by RS&H and hosted by Bishop International Airport. Racers take to the runway for this flat, fast 5K! We also have a Little Pilot’s ¼ mile race for our youngest racers. All 5K participants receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a custom 4” medal! Little Pilots receive a medal and have the option to add on a race shirt! Spectators at the runway are welcome but MUST be registered (registration is free for spectators). Registration can be found at crimraces.org!

**IMPORTANT: Online registration closes on Wednesday, September 30th at 6:00pm due to airport security reasons. There is no late or race-day registration available! Learn more about airport security protocols at crimraces.org!

Participants will be shuttled onto Bishop Airport grounds for the race! Please make sure to pay close attention to race-week emails for more on security protocols and busing!

Stay tuned this Friday for a reveal of the Crim Fitness Foundation’s main logo for the milestone 50th Anniversary! While there will be many other reveals to come, like race shirt and medal designs, this logo will reflect much of the main branding for 2027. The logo honors the community that made it possible, reflects on a powerful legacy, and celebrates everything the next 50 years can become!

Check out some of the views you’ll see along Crim’s NEW Half Marathon course! This new event is a part of the Halloween Hustle races taking place Saturday, October 24th at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad!

The Halloween Half, presented by Universal Coating, will do one lap through the village and then complete the majority of the 13.1 miles on the Flint River/Iron Belle Trail. Participants can take in views of Bluebell Beach, Mott Lake, Stepping Stone Falls, and beautifully wooded county land. All half marathon finishers receive a custom 4” medal and a long sleeve tech shirt. Soon we’ll be releasing the cover and more content of the Crim50 book. The book will feature articles and photos highlighting everything from original Crim runners to Flint neighborhoods to the Crim Adult Training Program, and will include individual ‘Shout-Outs’! Participants, community members, and Crim friends can also purchase a business-card size “Shout-Out” or tribute that will appear in the Crim50 book!. Honor a favorite runner or walker, tell us why you love Crim, or celebrate yourself! The deadline to purchase a Shout-Out for publication in the Crim50 book is December 31, 2026. We are just 3 weeks away from our next race in the 2026 Crim Race Series, presented by Genesee Health Plan!

Join us on Saturday, October 3 for the 5K on the RUNway race, presented by RS&H, for this fast, flat 5K that takes place on one of the runways at Bishop International Airport! We also have a Little Pilot’s ¼ mile race for our youngest racers. All 5K participants receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a custom 4” medal! Little Pilots receive a medal and have the option to add on a race shirt!

Spectators for 5k On the RUNway! We are able to have spectators join us out at the start line on the Bishop International Airport runway! You can bring friends and family to watch you cross the finish line or parents can join their littles ones for the Little Pilots race by registering as a spectator for the October 3 5K On the RUNway race! Due to airport security regulations, you MUST register as a spectator (it’s free!) and go through the security check point before the shuttle buses.
