Pride Month means a lot of different things to different people.
For some, it’s celebration.
For others, it’s visibility.
For many, it’s survival, community, healing, joy, resistance, or finally feeling seen.
As we enter Pride Month, we honor the people who came before us, the people still fighting to be fully seen, and the communities that continue showing up for one another even in difficult times.
In a moment where LGBTQ+ communities are facing increasing hostility, erasure, and political attacks, choosing to gather, celebrate, protect each other, and remain visible is powerful.
Happy Pride Month from Flint Pride and Wellness Services Inc.
We’ll see you July 18 in Downtown Flint.
