Some of you have asked about the history of the Fernd-Alien. He arrived in the city years ago straight out of the mind of Gordie Morton, a local artist and event producer. Gordie created an entire family of Fernd-Aliens (my son has collected them all except Steve).

I like to think that they represent the inclusivity of the city. Something lacking in much of the country at the moment.

Anyway, Gordie has let us use him as a way to raise some needed bucks for Ferncare and the food banks. All donations at the entrance and at the center arts table go to them.

He would love to go further with the project, already has a book in mind. If you have some thoughts, energy or money, for the project, please let him know.
