East Coast Derby Extravaganza

Hello ECDX Friends, Fans, and Participants,

We had been hopefully waiting for COVID cases to decline and reach manageable numbers in Philly and elsewhere in the US (other countries are doing better), but it does not look like that is going to happen in time or in enough geographical areas for ECDX to take place.

So, with much sadness, we are cancelling ECDX. Thank you so very much for wanting to participate in ECDX and support Philly Roller Derby. We hope that everyone is well, and we look forward to skating with everyone soon.

Hello Derby friends and family.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of ECDX 2020.
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, and given current projections and discussions within the larger derby community and WFTDA, we have considered that even if social-distancing and shelter-in-place are lifted before the tournament, the training and economic time lost for all teams, officials, and volunteers would be so reduced as to be unattainable for most participants.
Event organizers are continuing to monitor situations and are looking for dates for a potential rescheduling of this year's ECDX.
We wish good health and safety to all at this time.

Philly Roller Derby and East Coast Derby Extravaganza mourn the loss of Bettie Mercury. Beloved across the derby community, Bettie has long been a vital part of our sport and league, and a friend and mentor to many.

Bettie and her husband, Ian Fluenza have helped PRD as officials and event organizers, and she has been present at every ECDX.

We extend our deepest condolences to Ian and all of Bettie’s friends and family at this time.
