✨Student Spotlight: Taylor Foster

Animal science senior in the pre-professional concentration from Strawberry, Arkansas with plans to attend veterinary school.

Taylor studied abroad in New Zealand and Australia and is completing an Honors research project focused on how nutrition impacts beef cattle health. Studying animal science at the University of Arkansas has been a dream come true and allows her to pursue a field she is passionate about every day.

Boots, Brews, & BBQ supports scholarships that help students like Taylor pursue opportunities and experiences like these.

A familiar voice in Northwest Arkansas media is joining the judging panel at Boots, Brews, & BBQ.

Ellison is a weekday morning anchor, reporter, and producer for 5NEWS, where she co-anchors from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. A Fort Smith native, she brings more than a decade of experience in television news and a strong connection to the River Valley community.

🌾Meet the judge: Alan Bryan

A University of Arkansas and University of Arkansas School of Law alumnus who won Boots, Brews, & BBQ tickets in the 2025 U of A Homecoming Auction and was invited to join the judging panel.

Bryan practiced at the state’s largest law firm for a decade before serving as an attorney in the Walmart legal department for the last 15 years. He is also an Arkansas-certified mediator and nationally certified executive coach. He has been recognized by national, state, and local organizations for his contributions to the legal profession and community while remaining an active member of numerous national legal organizations.
