It’s that time of year when we get a sneak peek of tomorrow’s color trends for interiors! 🤩
Color predictions fascinate me…I have no idea how the experts come up with these color forecasts, but it’s so fun to pick favorites and imagine how I’d recommend them in clients’ homes! From light and airy to dark and moody, there’s something for every aesthetic in this palette.
💛 Butter yellow is comforting, nostalgic, versatile. Its softness works as a neutral but it can also be used for some color pop, and it works in many different styles from minimalist to retro.
🩵 Powder blue - it’s breezy and blissful, elegant and elevated. While not new to interior spaces, this one’s going to be around for a while and I love it, so much so that I’ve used in several rooms of my own home.
🧥🤎 For earthy neutrals there’s a grounding beauty in Sherwin Williams’ Universal Khaki and Benjamin Moore’s Silhouette. Silhouette reminds me of one of my very favorite cities on earth, NYC, and its beautiful rows of Brownstone homes. So classic and timeless!
Beetroot red like Sherwin Williams’ Borscht! I like this tone because it feels so classy, confident, and passionate. It’s an elegant hue that can be used for dramatic accent walls, “color drenching,” or painting cabinets and furniture. Pro tip - you’ll need a grey primer under a deep red like this.
🦚 Remember hunter green as one of the hottest colors of the 90s? (who else’s dream car was a hunter green Jeep Cherokee?) I love all greens but I’m excited this one is back with a modern depth. From classic forest green to transformative teal, the color family is saturated and beautifully bold. Behr’s Hidden Gem is a real stunner I can’t wait to use.
Which of these colors do you connect with most? I’d love to hear! 🎨
