Spouses in Military - SiM

In 2017, then MAC Committee member Tammy Thurman (now Chair) returned from a 3-day conference with an idea. An idea sparked through her experience of networking, engagement, and support from a conference focused on bringing together women in business from all across the United States. Tammy returned with an idea. To bring the same focus to our community - specifically our military spouse community

through a one-day event to not only bring MAC back to the community but build bridges between our small business owners and the military souses they serve. From this idea came the Spouses in Military or SiM Expo. An event where motivational speakers who relate to our military spouses share their experience and knowledge and local businesses can offer discounts, coupons, and most importantly opportunities to support our spouses in starting or finishing their education. We invite everyone including hair stylists, spas, colleges, fashion, real estate everything, and everyone from A-Z who could provide a service, product, or resource we know our spouses need. After 2 successful years, we are excited to move into 2020 with a Brand New Virtual platform designed to continue our purpose of engagement, interaction, and support for our military spouses.
