In case you haven't heard!

It's officially here y'all. The last event ever at The Syc House will be this Sunday 4/26 starting at 2-3pm till whenever. Please come hug me, probably see me cry, shop our basement, eat complimentary grill food (but also a potluck!), and celebrate our last Sunday Funday here. Anybody want to jam in the living room? Open mic? The basement looks like a flea market plz come buy stuff on the cheap cheap!

I meant to post this yesterday but took me a minute to track it down! Who remembers this 4/20/2019 party at the house featuring Serrano-Torres?! I believe it was the last one I had before saying I needed a break after 10 years of throwing shows in the basement. And then Covid happened. This was one of my favorite shows because it was so unique! ❤️

This is a bittersweet post. As some of you know this might be our last holidays at . This is the first time I've publicly announced this on this page. The landlord has decided to sell after almost 16 years of me (and plenty others lol) living here. She called September 1st and told us to be moved out by October 7th. Obviously we've been given more time now and she's letting us get through the holidays/end of January. SO with that being said, we're hosting possibly our last Friendsgiving this Sunday the 23rd at 4pm. Below are some pictures of past year spreads to show you how we do it over here. Everyone is welcome we just ask no kids (21+) or pets! As I'm obviously trying to buy us more time here or figure out how to continue living here, nothing is guaranteed. So I hope you'll join us for what might be the last Friendsgiving at The Syc House! 🫶🏻

Forgot to post pics of our Jazzy Paint Party Fundraiser for a friend of ours! Thank you so much Mellow Mushroom for donating pizza, Todd Arkyn Crush for the jazzy tunes, and everyone else who showed up and pitched in or hung out with us! We’re looking to do some more smaller events like this while we finish getting the rest of the basement cleaned up and back open for larger events! If you want to host something here or have an event idea, shoot us a message and we’ll see if we can work something out!

We’re doing a thang this Saturday 3/29 from 6-9pm (and possibly longer). Don’t let that $20 suggested donation at the door scare you away from a good time! Come as you are, bring whatever you can, we’re just trying to help out a friend! Light refreshments and art supplies will be provided but feel free to bring whatever you like! All ages! BYOB (21+) 🎨🎶 Event page in the comments!

RSVP! Invite your friends! This is kinda last minute so we need your help getting the word out! The basement “shop” will also be open to browse. We’ll be making deals!

The Syc House had a blast helping host the going away party of a Wicked Wood Fired Pizza employee! Games were played and fun was had! Good luck on your next adventure!

We had a little bit of a bee problem in one of the basement walls this year but C’s Bees came through and fixed us right up! Removed them to relocate and even blessed us with a jar of local honey from his farm 🐝🍯 5 star would recommend!

Our bellies are full, our sweatpants are stretched, and we’re tired. Another Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving down at Syc House! Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared a laugh, and ate a plate with us. I cannot believe this year is almost over already. Next up, Christmas!

Last year we had some complaints about people not knowing when our Friendsgiving is so here y’all go! As usual, please bring something to eat or drink to share. We don’t care if it’s leftovers! We’re cooking up a storm tonight so leftovers are kind of our thing 😉 We’ve decided to make this year a no kiddos Friendsgiving, 21+ only please! See y’all tomorrow!
