Law enforcement on both sides of the river would like to thank the families that participated in yesterday’s event. If you were unable to attend, but would still like to submit a DNA sample on behalf of your loved one, please contact the event team at (618)489-2005.

This event was the first of its kind and it was an effort to help bring closure to families who have relatives missing.

The Illinois State Police is partnering with the Missouri Highway Patrol and several other law enforcement agencies to help area families solve the mystery surrounding their missing loved ones. The goal of the Greater St. Louis Area Missing Person Event is to reach out to all people with missing family members, update case information, and collect DNA samples for comparison to DNA profiles from unidentified persons nationwide. Please SHARE this page to help spread the word of the event. Saturday, May 19th, 10a-8p! Two locations, St. Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights and The Jennings State Office Building in Jennings!

Crime News: Illinois State Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol work with police departments across the St. Louis, MO area and Southern Illinois to create a missing persons database. Participating cities include Belleville, IL.

May is Missing Persons Awareness Month. Only two and a half more weeks until the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan Area's first Missing Persons Day!!!

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, or NamUs, will be utilized to enter new case information received at the Missing Persons Event. It is a system that automatically cross-searches the missing persons database with the unidentified persons database and provide side-by-side comparisons of possible matches.
