NEW WORKSHOP ADDED ✨ with Master Weaver Dawn Ahlert, visiting from Montana!

Dawn's first Intro to Card Weaving workshop filled up, so we've added a second one this Sunday from 1-4pm at the Fairbanks Weavers' and Spinners' Guild.

This workshop is open to ALL, including absolute beginners who have never woven before! You'll learn to weave a narrow band consisting of 40 warp threads of three contrasting colors and 10 cards. There will be a chance to try several different patterns with this one warp!

**There is also still space in Dawn's Supplemental Weft Inlay class (photos 2-4), happening Saturday from 10am-4pm!

But wait, there's more! Before we call it a year, there are a few more workshop opportunities coming up!

First up this week is Stranded Snowflake Mittens - starting TONIGHT at Yarn Over with Cathie Harms! ❄ Only 2 spots left!

Then on Wednesday, Christie from Calypso Farm and Ecology Center is teaching Learn to Knit Tiny Sweater Ornaments 🥹 Using double pointed needles, you'll learn how to knit on a smaller scale, creating the sweetest little sweaters that can be made into ornaments, garland, given as gifts, etc!

Ending our 11th annual Fiber Festival with 77 hats, cowls and mittens for the Community Hats Project, with many more to come 💜

These were all dropped off by our incredible Fairbanks community members over the weekend and will be donated to Bread Line Inc. this week for those who will need some warmth this winter.

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed — whether you dropped off a hat, donated yarn or picked up a kit to knit and donate later — it’s appreciated more than we can express.

Thank you also to all of our volunteers who wound yarn and distributed hundreds of kits this weekend!

If you picked one up, you can donate your finished items to Bread Line, Fairbanks Native Association, Fairbanks Rescue Mission, Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living, The Door or another organization who can get them to those who need them 💜
