Throwback Thursday
Let’s take a trip back to September 1995, when the Young Woman’s Auxiliary (YWA) was serving up smiles—and baked goods! —at the Evanston Farmers Market.
Founded on February 25, 1919, the YWA was created as a special branch of the Woman’s Club of Evanston for younger members ages 18–30.
By May 1999, the separate auxiliary designation officially dissolved, but its legacy continued through the WCE’s signature annual theatrical benefit—The Revue, as we know it today!
From bake sales to theatrical productions, generations of women have been building community, friendship and leaders for more than a century!
We are sponsoring the Spud Club on September 19th at the Evanston Farmer’s Market. Stop by and say hello!
