Thunder Over Evans Thunder Over Evans is the CSRA's celebration of Armed Forces Day at Evans Towne Center Park in Evans, Georgia.

Thunder Over Evans has been deemed as the largest privately funded military celebration in the United States. We always look forward to the locals coming out to show their appreciation for those who serve our country. We feature music, static displays, ceremonies, entertainment and a massive firework display. The admission price is free, just pay a tribute to our soldiers.

⏰ EVENT DETAILS

Show Starts: 6:00 PM
Admission: FREE to the public

✅ WHAT CAN I BRING?
Chairs & blankets ✅
Wagons (to carry your items) ✅
Clear bags/totes ✅
Water bottles (reusable or plastic) ✅
Snacks & small food items (in clear bags) ✅
Diaper bags (subject to search) ✅
Medications (with ID or prescription) ✅

🚫 WHAT’S NOT ALLOWED?
Coolers ❌
Tents or canopies ❌
Non-clear bags ❌
Outside liquids that are NOT transparent ❌
No Pets ❌

💧 FOOD & DRINK RULES
You CAN bring water and clear liquids
All liquids must be visible and accessible to security
Food trucks will be on-site (50+ vendors!) 🍔🌮

🔍 SECURITY INFO
Security will be increased this year for everyone’s safety
The event will be fully fenced with controlled entry points
No re-entry once you leave
Expect bags to be checked by security

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 FAMILY & SPECIAL NEEDS
We absolutely welcome families!
If you require medications, you are fully allowed to bring them
Bringing documentation (ID, prescriptions, medical info) is helpful

🪑 SEATING & SETUP
Seating is first come, first serve
We recommend arriving early for the best spots
No tents/canopies allowed, so plan accordingly

Largest fireworks show in Georgia 💥
Featuring a drone show with pyro drones 🚁✨
Armed Forces recognition ceremony around 6 PM

🍴 VENDORS
We’ll have 50+ food vendors on-site
Vendor applications are now closed for this year

This Saturday, May 16th, we’re honoring those who serve at Thunder Over Evans for Armed Forces Day. It’s completely free to the public. Gates open at 3:30 PM, and the show starts at 6 PM. Bring your chairs, hats, sunglasses, and ear protection — if you know, you know. This will be our largest show yet! Give us a share!

We’re taking it up another level this year!
Proudly presenting the largest pyrotechnics display in the state of Georgia, featuring an all-new effect never before seen in the CSRA. In honor of the 250th anniversary of America and those who serve, we’re celebrating Armed Forces Day with a spectacular evening you won’t want to miss.
Important Updates for This Year:

• No early entrance – the park will be locked down until gates open at 3:30 PM
•All guests must go through security
•Clear bags only
•Limit of 4 minors per adult
•No re-entry

Please plan accordingly and arrive prepared so everyone can enjoy a safe and unforgettable celebration. We can’t wait to see you there!
