This year at Shamrockin Fest - BBQ & Beer Festival, we were honored to have a very special guest judge, Jay Ryon. Jay was diagnosed with Leukemia at 6 years old and was one of the first fundraisers our Firefighter Charity of Central Florida was lead in.

Jay has battled hard and has his ups and downs. He recently was diagnosed with tumors on his brain. Jay is the son of Nick Ryon, a local firefighter and volunteer at the Firefighter Charity of Central Florida. Jay's bucket list included judging BBQ at a real competition one day. Thanks to some great people, we were able to make that happen for him!

In addition, we donated $250 in Jay's honor to the charity of his choice for the team he picked as his best of BBQ. Jay choose from a local BBQ legend, Wayne Ray with Hole BBQ as his clear choices in a blind tasting.

We are honored to send a check to Make-A-Wish America in honor of Jay and Wayne.

It was great to see that big smile on Jay's face after scoring all that BBQ. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the teams, the FBA judges that trained him on site, the Florida Bar B Que Association Public Forum for helping this happen and everyone else involved with helping Jay check a mark on his bucket list!

We love you Jay and pull for you!

We want to thank everyone that came out and enjoyed Shamrockin Fest - BBQ & Beer Festival in downtown Eustis! We are already busy planning for 2027!

Special thanks to all our Florida BBQ Association teams, judges, reps, Chili & sauce teams that competed! You whipped up some amazing food!

Another special thanks to all the bands! What amazing shows they put on - Tom Evan, Black Thorn Brigade, Ted Scallan and Delta Boogie, Jig To A Milestone, Scuttered the Bruce and Def Lepprechaun by SWITCH!

Thank you to the city of Eustis and Eustis PD for keeping everyone safe.

A HUGE thank you to all our volunteers that worked countless hours to make this festival happen and all the vendors that joined the fun!

Special thanks to Fruitland Park Trailers for providing a stage and the local businesses that help promote the event. Thank you to all the media that helped share the love like Meteorologist Michelle Morgan, 101.1 WJRR - The Rock Station, the Monsters in the Morning, and Lake Front TV-City of Leesburg's Channel.

We were honored to have a very special guest judge for our Florida BBQ Association sanctioned BBQ competition on Saturday!

Jay Ryon from Team Jay made his debut at judging! He did an amazing job and enjoyed lots of BBQ from 22 competition teams!

We are donating $250 in honor of Jays top pick to the charity of his choice. Jay chose the Make A Wish Foundation to receive a check for Gopher Hole BBQ by Wayne Ray top choice!
