The Melonlight Theater has gone through many costume changes, many different spaces, and encountered many beautiful faces.
The heart of our business will always be in the connections we make with the people in our Melon sphere - the students who light up the dance floor with us, the audience members who fill our seats and bless us with the opportunity to entertain, the locals who spread their authentic words of love and support, and our past fans, participants, and followers who may be separated from us by miles. We appreciate each and every one of you.
Thank you for joining us under the Melonlight, without you, it would still be a glimmer, a speck of dust in an unfocused stage light, a fragment of a conversation from oh-so-many years ago.
This business exists, not simply because Raymond and I dreamt it and built it, and continue to build it over and over again; it exists because of the people who are willing to play with us.
A teacher is nothing without a student.
An actor is nothing without an audience.
A playwright, a director, a producer, a daydreamer, a costume designer, a soundscape maker - all nothing without you.
Thank you for being inside of the Melon sphere. We’re sixteen now, I guess it’s time we start growing up. 😂
