OFFICIAL: The women’s steeplechase is elite 😤

This year’s Prefontaine Classic will feature two Olympic champions and the reigning world champion.

Faith Cherotich is the defending world champion and bronze medalist from the Paris Olympic Games. Currently ranked as the No. 1 steeplechaser in the world, she looks to claim her victory at her fourth .

Reigning Olympic champion and defending Pre Classic champion, Winfred Yavi, returns for her seventh appearance in the Pre Classic steeplechase. With two wins under her belt, she will be aiming for a third championship.

Peruth Chemutai, the first Ugandan woman ever to win an Olympic medal, is set for her seventh appearance at the , where she looks to capture her second victory.
