The Lake Erie Folk Fest

The Lake Erie Folk Fest Save the date! Feb 14, 2026. Held every February in University Circle, Cleveland on the campus of CWRU.

The Lake Erie Folk Fest is an afternoon of free Traditional Folk Music workshops, mini-concerts and jams topped by an exciting evening concert. Held every February, in Euclid, Ohio, the Lake Erie Folk Fest hosts musicians from Northeast Ohio and beyond for an afternoon of engaging workshops topped off by an inspiring evening concert. In addition to workshops and performances, there are plenty of o

pportunities for jamming, dancing, singing and visiting at this heart warming folk festival -- music and dance by the people and for the people. This is a collaboration of the Northeast Ohio Musical Heritage Association, which produces the annual Blue Sky Folk Festival in Kirtland, and the Shore Cultural Centre, a former high school turned innovative arts center in downtown Euclid. Come out for the festival, volunteer your services, become a sponsor, make a donation or let us know your ideas of what would make a great community event!

Some of you caught the LEFF 2025 evening concert where John Showman and Chris Coole (Lonesome Ace Stringband) brought an amazing show. Well, John had a nasty accident, and the music community is doing what we do best - rallying 'round to support a friend in need. Chip in if you are able and help John heal! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1LM9DsSnpf/

Join us for our monthly Irish session on March 24 at the The Treelawn. This month we'll be meeting in the ballroom - enter through the tavern doors and follow the sweet sounds of Irish tunes to the back of the hall to find us in this grand space. All are welcome for good music, good company, and maybe a pint or two!

LEFF may be over for 2026, but there are still great opportunities to enjoy excellent music.

Our friends at The Kent Stage have put together another great fundraiser for NEOMHA that's a win-win for all of us. Get tickets to see Sister Sadie on Friday, Feb 20 at 7:30, and $10 from all ticket sales will go to support our work preserving, presenting and growing our traditional music community.

Described as a bluegrass base with captivating country Americana feel, gospel grit and storytelling, this band has piled up the accolades, with two grammy nominations and multiple IBMA awards. It's going to be a great show, and it's easy to get your tickets today. Ticket link in the first comment.

This year's Lake Erie Folk Festival was nothing short of wonderful. It was so good to see so many members of our community come together to celebrate traditional music. It was great to have lots of new participants from our campus community. And it was a joy to welcome back all the instructors, musicians, workshop leaders, volunteers and everyone else who makes this big day happen. We're exhausted, but in the best way!

We appreciate you 💖
