The annual Hanover Center Old Timer's Fair is on *Saturday, June 27, 2026* on the common at Hanover Center!
It will be a day of fun, community and tradition. Please join us for the parade, oxen pull, book sale, White Elephant sale, food tent and bbq, and entertainment throughout the day.
In preparation, we are requesting donations of books and household items for the book sale and White Elephant sale.

Please bring donations to the Hanover Center Church, 6 Parade Ground Road,
Etna, NH on the designated days only listed below.

For the book sale, all genres of books are welcome, however, we cannot accept the following:

-No video or audio tapes, no old calendars, no textbooks or encyclopedias, no magazines
-No books that are badly torn or musty

For the white elephant sale, household items are appreciated, however, we cannot accept the following:

-No furniture, no clothing, no exercise equipment, no large kitchen appliances

Join us for Hanover’s Memorial “Muster” Day, Monday, 3 PM, at the historic Hanover Center Parade Ground and cemetery (388 Hanover Center Road, Etna).

In addition to the Lyme Town Band, the program features Retired Chaplin Ted Brayman, guest speaker John Stebbins, and Scout Troop 45. The program concludes with the placement of flags on veteran graves and the playing of Taps at the nearby cemetery. After the program, attendees are welcome to visit the graves of the 55 Revolutionary War patriots who are buried in the cemetery, as well as those of all veterans.

By meeting at the Parade Ground, we also remember our early 19th century citizen military that would gather or “muster” there for drills and training—always a big community event. Refreshments will be served under the tent with accessible parking adjacent.
