Congratulations MK & Ryan! An elegant day with heartfelt touches...a combination of flowers from and blooms from the bride's garden, handmade luggage tag es**rt cards and the most epic sweetheart table back drop. We 💜 you!

Andrea & Troy, May 30th, 2026...It was a stormy day on the river so they exchanged vows dockside on our beautiful "Adventure". It didn't matter what was happening with the weather because they had a BIG surprise for their family- a baby girl on the way! We can't wait to meet her!

Did you know when you reserve your big day at Essex Steam Train & Riverboat, you have full access to our in house décor? We have a selection of three different chargers, lanterns upon lanterns, vintage suitcases, wh***ey barrels, 3 different arches, table numbers, card boxes...you name it. We love the details but why buy something you'll use once?

A nor'aster didn't dampen Erin and Alex's day! Their first look was in our Wallingford dining car, which happens to be where Alex proposed.
A slight pivot from a meadow ceremony to a cozy, coach car followed by a steam locomotive pulled train ride. Guests enjoyed apple c***r donuts and that insane cake by Alex's mom. So many special details; we can't wait for the professional photos.
