A Season in the Shadows
After 21 years of scares, screams, laughter, and more Halloween memories than we could ever count, Nightmare Vermont is taking a season off in 2026.
This is not goodbye. For more than two decades, thousands of you have walked through our doors and helped make Nightmare what it is. To every guest who came looking for a scare, every volunteer who gave their time and imagination, and every sponsor and community partner who helped make it possible: thank you. You are the reason we’ve been able to do this for 21 incredible years.
We’re going to miss seeing you this fall. But when Nightmare returns, it won’t simply be the same haunt you remember. We’ve got a whole lot of pent-up spooky energy, new ideas, and new tricks waiting in the darkness. So take this year to enjoy Halloween with us from the other side of the fence. Visit your favorite Vermont fall traditions, support the local businesses and haunts you love, and make some memories of your own.
And when we’re ready to open those gates again,
