More registration tiers open this evening (May 12) for The Challenge at Reidy Creek, Presented by Innova and Dog Haus Disc Shop.

- At 7pm, registration will open for MPO players rated 950 and above, and for FPO players rated 850 and above.
- At 7:05, registration will open for all Women's (F) divisions and Junior divisions (J) with no restrictions on player rating.
- At 7:10pm, registration will open for event sponsors. Registrants may qualify by purchasing a tee sign as part of the registration form or contacting the TD regarding other sponsorship opportunities (we'll give you an access code).
- Open registration for all players becomes available on May 19th at 7:01pm.

If you'd like to sponsor the event by purchasing 3 or more Innova fundraising discs, I will post a link to one of the discs listed on ebay - you can find the rest by looking at all of my auctions.

Shaun, Garrett and I are working on some minor changes to the layout, mostly small changes to target positions. We have several holes where we will be adding new target sleeves that will be available for casual play or other events. Hole 18's pond treatment will change a bit this year - rather than a net or mesh catching surface we'll have a smaller, dense-weave fabric, which will be safer for the wildlife that live in the pond.

MPO/FPO players - remember that we have USDGC and TPWDGC invitations on the line along with qualification points for the DGPT Q-Series. Also, feature card coverage for MPO will be provided by Central Coast and FPO coverage will be filmed by Disconnected!

It's Time for The Challenge!!! Registration for The Challenge @ Reidy Creek (2026), Presented by Innova Disc Golf & Dog Haus Disc Shop will open tonight (Tuesday, April 28, 2026) for top-rated MPO and FPO players (1000+/900+). This year's tournament is a PDGA-sanctioned A-Tier tournament, and is once again a qualifier for the United States Disc Golf Championship and the Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship! And this year we have added a partnership with the Disc Golf Pro Tour as a DGPT Q-Series event, allowing MPO and FPO players to earn points towards qualifying for a 2027 DGPT Tour Card!

MPO/FPO Tier 1 registration will run for one week, followed by one week for Tier 2 (970+/870+) and an additional week for Tier 3 (950+/850+) registration. Once the MPO/FPO tiers are completed, we will have one week of registration for all Women's and Junior divisions, as well as event sponsors beginning on May 12th. Open registration for all divisions will open on May 19th.

There is a tremendous amount of information on our Disc Golf Scene registration page (link below), but I need to mention a few more things here. First, many, many thanks to our looooong time sponsor Innova Disc Golf, and our third-year sponsor DogHaus DiscShop!!! These two companies provide resources that make our A-Tier event possible. Innova has made some amazing fundraiser discs available for us (see the photos below), and DogHaus is helping us meet the A-Tier fundraising goal AND handling the Amateur payout for top 25% finishers. DogHaus will be vending at the event - please patronize their shop!

Innova fundraiser disc sales are helping us pay for post-production video coverage of the MPO and FPO feature/lead cards. Central Coast Disc Golf (Ian & Corey) will be filming the MPO card and Disconnected (Lucas Astrom) will be filming FPO. We're excited to show off our players AND the Reidy Creek disc golf layout!

We're 2 weeks away from The Challenge at Reidy Creek!!!!! Tournament staff has been swarming the property, measuring, range-finding, painting, arguing, moving baskets, sweeping tees...and coming up with Challenges for you! Like Hole 18!

Hole 18 is 508 feet from the Back Tee, 448 feet from the Front Tee. The basket is perched on a slope, in between the back half of the pond (we're referring to it as "Pond 2") and the cart path which defines he start of Hazard area. This should be a fun and Challenging hole to play, and a great one to spectate from the Reidy Creek Clubhouse Veranda!

You'll see on this diagram that we will be constructing a net to catch discs that land in the water close to the basket. We hope it works. If you'd like to help us make the net larger, contribute $40 to the "Save the Discs" fund and we'll buy another roll of net fencing. And we'll put you on a tee sign! We're just a few weeks away from the 2024 Challenge....at Reidy Creek!!! New venue, some new partnerships, but still the same commitment to Challenging and Fun disc golf.

Registration is open on Disc Golf Scene for The Challenge at Reidy Creek, Presented by Innova Disc Golf & Dog Haus Disc Shop. This PDGA Pro A-Tier/Am B-Tier event will be held August 9-11 at Reidy Creek Golf Course in Escondido, CA. This is a venue change from the previously scheduled location at Goat Hill Park. It is a 3-day event for Pros, 2-day event for Ams.

We remain a USDGC/TPWDGC qualifier event, with two invitations for the top MPO finishers and one invitation for the top FPO finisher!

Announcement!!! The Challenge, previously scheduled for Goat Hill Park in Oceanside, will instead be held on August 9-11, 2024 at Reidy Creek Golf Course in Escondido, CA.

This was a difficult decision to make, but due our inability to agree on terms for the event with course management, we have decided to hold the event at a new venue.

Reidy Creek is a welcoming facility with a great layout for disc golf. Our TD team is confident that we will be able to provide players with a challenging and enjoyable layout to play.

The tournament will remain a PDGA-sanctioned Pro A-Tier/Amateur B-Tier event, with at least $3,000 in added cash for the Pro divisions and a 110+% payout to Amateurs. Pro players will play Friday-Sunday, Amateur players will play Saturday-Sunday.

We remain a USDGC/TPWDGC qualifier event, with two invitations to award for the United States Disc Golf Championship and one invitation for the Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship, both held in Rock Hill, South Carolina in October.

We expect to have a registration page available on Disc Golf Scene in the next few days, with registration tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 8th, 2024.

We want to express our thanks to our event sponsors, Innova Disc Golf, for supporting us at this difficult time, and our partners at the USDGC/TPWDGC for keeping us on their schedule, and providing invitations to players in Southern California.

It's Goat time!!! We are fundraising for The Challenge at Goat Hill Park (August 9-11, 2024) and just received a collection of fundraiser discs from Innova Disc Golf!

Yes! Champion Halo is a thing! We have Champion Halo Destroyers, Firebirds, Mako3s, Roadrunners, and Wraiths in a wide range of weights and all sorts of wild colors. The plastic is super smooth and bright...and gorgeous!

The delivery also included Glow Nexus Toros, Glow Metal Flake Champion Mako3s, Nexus Fireflys, Metal Flake Champion Wraiths, and liiiiiightweight GStar Terns.
