I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a safe and non-spooky Halloween tomorrow. This month has not gone as I had hoped at all. After Hurricane Helene came through, we started to see a serious dip in a large portion of our driveway, and it ultimately caved in on one side. Since everything was interconnected and it was such a big section, we had to replace a significant part of it this past week. It was incredibly costly, and with my Christmas setup supposed to start this weekend—something I truly love and look forward to every year—it breaks my heart to know that it won’t happen this year. 😔

Ughhh I’ve been all emotions today. 😭

Also, we want to let everyone know that we won't be handing out candy tomorrow, as our entire driveway is roped off and portions still curing. But despite everything, I wish everyone a safe and non spooky Halloween filled with fun and laughter. Here’s to hoping for brighter days and a magical holiday season for you and your loved ones! Even if it’s 100 degrees outside, throw some lights up for me this year!🚦🚥🎄🕸️Happy Halloween! 🎃

Update 2024

🎃Hey Boo🎃

💬I wanted to take a moment to let you know that, unfortunately, we will not be opening The Neal’s Magical Holiday Lights for Halloween this year. This decision is especially bittersweet for me, as it will likely be the last year my youngest will actually wear a costume.

I’ve decided to take a step back this year to spend more time attending local events and enjoying the season with my family. It’s probably gotten bigger than I ever expected it would, but I tend to do nothing small, so I don’t know why I expected anything less! As I get older and my kids grow up, they naturally want to go off and do fun things with their friends, and I don’t blame them. So, what happens next is all up in the air.

I have certainly enjoyed every dance party and Christmas celebration we’ve created over the years. I remember when I could buy a box of lights for just $1.50—sadly, those times have come and gone, but I am thankful for the many years of fun we’ve had.

We hope everyone has a safe and non-spooky Halloween! 😂

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible community and neighbors for the overwhelming support and generosity you have shown towards our month-long Halloween display and candy donations. Your contributions made a tremendous difference and brought joy to countless children in our area. We are truly grateful for your kindness and willingness to make the month of October truly amazing. Thank you for being an amazing community that came together and supported the magic!

Halloween 2023 was so much work, but incredibly rewarding! If you came to see us last night, please make sure to thank the Coffee County Sheriff's Office - Alabama - Sheriff Byrd and his deputies. The presence of these officers, who volunteered their time to guide traffic, brought immense comfort to both parents and children.

By managing the traffic flow, they allowed our children to enjoy Halloween festivities without any concerns for their well-being. Their presence was a reassuring reminder of the exceptional service provided by our law enforcement officers.

Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure the safety of our community. Your dedication is truly appreciated. IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT!

If you're wondering what 15 gallons of candy looks like... This is how much we handed out last night ALONE! I couldn't even tell you how much up till this day... but 15 gallons last night, and we had hundreds of little feet and happy hearts come to see us. I can't thank the community, my friends (especially Katie Fortin) enough. Thank you so much to everyone who came and dropped off a bag of candy or just stopped by to say, "I don't have much to help, but here's a few dollars."

Total donations from the community have been around $650, which has helped us keep the candy flowing this entire month.

Rob and Amy, I don't even have words. If y'all have seen the Harry Potter mirror, they custom made it and it is for sale!

I just wanted to come on here and say thank you. Tonight is our last night for 2023 before Halloween. Thank you for sharing your pictures, laughter, and appreciation this year, making it extra special.

Some of you know how the monster mash dance party started. To those of you who do and have supported my craziness since... I love you with every ounce of my existence.

This year has been full of many emotions, but that's for later! Let's get through tonight and Halloween and close out 2023 as our best year yet!

Couple things to address:

1. Please don’t wait till Halloween to come see us, it’s crazy busy and I have no idea if you’ll even be able to get in the neighborhood.
2. This is a nighttime dance party! So the sun has to go down to enjoy all the awesome details we’ve created.
3. Carpool if you can
4. It’s free
5. We’re small located in a residential neighborhood.
6. It’s a small decorated driveway you walk thru or can drive straight by.
7. You can come dressed up… lots of little kids so please skip me if your attire is gory and or scary. I don’t do spooky at all.. but my next door neighbor would love to have you.
8. Please do not let kids hang on, or go under any areas marked off with chains.
9. There are trash cans at the end of the driveway. Throw your trash away, and please do not spit out any food on my driveway. (It actually happened a lot last year)
10. PARKING!!!!!!! please do not park in front of my house, pull down and walk up if you would like. Please don’t block driveways or stop in the middle of the road. If you want to take pictures, please park your car. Do not block the flow of traffic! Parking is available on the side of the streets throughout the neighborhood.
11. Please NO pets
12. Weekends are the busiest, week days are slower… maybe 👻

DONATIONS : If you are out and about and would like to help us out, please consider donating a sealed bag of candy. I’ll have a basket on my porch for candy bags .
If you don’t want to buy candy and would like to donate money instead you can put it in the small jar thats in the plastic bin by the front of the house. Or you can Venmo or PayPal

Last night was crazy! 7:00 o'clock was the busiest we've ever been this entire year!

Tonight, Wednesday, October 18th, I'm going to open up at 6:30 since the sun will be down and we don't have football!

As previously stated, we've been doing this for about 10 years, and this is the first year we have asked for help in donations, whether it be money or sealed bags of candy.

Last year, we went through 50 gallons of candy just on Halloween night and over 1000 candy bars, not to mention we ran out within the first hour 😐These numbers don’t include what we give out the entire month, every night we're open!

If you think about it and would like to pick up a sealed bag of candy for us, we would greatly appreciate it! If it's easier to make a monetary donation, you can Venmo or PayPal us at -Neal-4 (Venmo) or (PayPal).
