Meet Tony!

Tony Swanger serves as our Hospitality Director. He enjoys working alongside an amazing group of community-minded individuals to bring one of the best Fourth of July celebrations in Connecticut and beyond to life.

Outside of the committee, Tony supports various non-profits in the community as Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Church of Broad Brook and also serves as Deputy Registrar for the Town of Enfield.

Fun fact: Tony has traveled extensively—taking trains across Europe, visiting holy sites in Israel, walking the walls of Jerusalem, riding camels in Egypt, and even climbing the Great Pyramid of Giza.

You can count on Tony to create a welcoming, thoughtful experience for everyone involved. He gives his heart and soul to the Fourth of July Committee, going above and beyond to ensure sponsors are happy and well cared for. He is thorough, reliable, and consistently follows through on his commitments.

Samantha “Sami” Daddona is serving as our Marketing Co-Director for this year’s event.

She loves bringing the community together to create something meaningful and memorable, and finds it incredibly rewarding to see all the planning come to life for a tradition people look forward to each year.

Outside of the committee, Sami co-hosts a weekly live show on professional wrestling, supports local LGBTQ+ organizations, and works with the Fanlight Zone on marketing and interviews with comic creators. She’s also a professional cosplayer and amateur photographer.

Fun fact: She has a full Star Wars Mandalorian armor cosplay.

When asked about Sami, her peers say, “Sami is always willing to pitch in wherever help is needed over the course of the weekend, and does a great job making sure to visit every area and support marketing campaigns throughout the event.”

Carolyn serves as Director of Personnel, where she enjoys meeting and working with some of the kindest and most generous members of the community, including both committee members and volunteers. She values the opportunity to help bring people together in support of a shared community effort.

Outside of the committee, Carolyn enjoys sports such as softball, volleyball, and pickleball, as well as hiking, gardening, and kayaking. She also loves to travel, especially visiting historical sites and wineries, with one of her favorites being Belle Meade in Nashville, TN.

Our celebration would not be the same without Carolyn. When asked about her, fellow committee members often mention her attention to detail and her ability to adapt to the many challenges that come with coordinating volunteers throughout the busy weekend. Her flexibility, organization, and positive attitude help keep everything running smoothly.
