2026 Embarrass Region Fair - Mud Run Announcement

At the 2025 Embarrass Region Fair, several individuals expressed interest in serving as the Event Coordinator for the Mud Run at the 2026 Embarrass Region Fair. To ensure a fair selection process and clarify expectations, the Embarrass Region Community Association (ERCA) Board requested that interested parties submit a proposal outlining their vision and approach for the event.

The people who initially expressed interest chose to not submit proposals and did not attend the December ERCA meeting to present their ideas. Because of this, the Board did not receive the necessary information to move forward with planning the Mud Run for 2026. Organizing this event requires significant coordination and preparation, and the Board appreciates the interest shown.

As a result, the Mud Run will not be part of the 2026 Fair. However, there are other events that need coordinators, and we encourage community members to join us at the upcoming meeting on January 15, 2026 at 6:30pm at Timber Hall Event Center to learn more about how to get involved and help make the Fair a success.

That's a wrap for this year's fair! We cannot begin to say thank you to everyone who makes this event happen. Thank you to our sponsors, our vendors, our entertainers, everyone who brought exhibits to be judged, all who entered the horse events and the demo derby, the Babbitt Lions Club for manning the beer tent, everyone who came to play ball, and our Classic Car Show entrants! Thank you to everyone who came to enjoy our Fair! And last but definitely not least, thank you to our volunteers and to those who signed up to be future volunteers!! This event would not exist without you and we are so grateful for your time, dedication, and passion!

Don't let a little rain stop you from coming out to enjoy the fair! Klatt's Farm Petting Zoo is here until 7pm. Then enjoy some bluegrass music from Stony River! Inflatables and pony rides for the kiddos are going on until dusk.

It's been a great day at the 86th Annual Embarrass Region Fair! Good food, good music, and good friends. A special thank you to Hibbing and Aurora Police Departments and their K-9 teams for coming out and showing off their skills! K9 Dottie does electronics detection and provides comfort and therapy services. K-9 Tac does narcotics detection and apprehension.
