This year, we celebrated the 87th Annual Embarrass Region Fair. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support our community and surrounding areas continue to show this event. It takes several months of planning and coordinating, a solid week of manual labor to get the grounds ready, 12-14 hour days (or longer) for the 3 days of the fair to ensure all of our vendors have what they need, our events run smoothly, and all of our guests have a good time, plus another few days when the fair is done to take it all down again and put it away. This year came with additional challenges and changes that needed to happen at the last minute, but everyone rallied and made it work. That SISU spirit Embarrass is famous for showed up in full strength! People I had never met came to help and make this a wonderful event.

The dedicated volunteers we have are the unsung heroes of the Fair. We would not have a fair without them. Thank you all for your commitment, dedication, creativity, flexibility, and willingness to give of your time and energy. I am so grateful for you, and I know our community is grateful for you too.

Our Fair Committee is taking a few months off to rest but planning for the 88th Annual Embarrass Region Fair will begin in February. Keep your eyes open for a meeting notice - if you're interested in helping us out we'd love to have you!

Sincerely,
Laura Stella, ERCA Secretary and the entire ERCA Board and Committee Members
