Thank you... to our mushers, volunteers, sponsors, and the many people who turned out to watch the WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race last Sunday. The race is so much more than just an event; it provides a sense of connection to our area's history and heritage.

Watching the teams leave the race start, and then the groups gather in the trailhead building afterwards, it felt like the trailhead was officially christened.

Thank you for making this an amazing event, and to all who contributed. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.

It was a fabulous race filled with top-notch competitors, Enthusiastic spectators, and awesome volunteers. Thank you, everyone, for a wonderful race day. The WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race is proud to announce its 2026 race winners. Congratulations, Ashley Miller, who won the 6-dog race by 6 SECONDS! Another great win for Ryan Anderson in the 8-dog. Ryan is racking up the wins across Minnesota and the Midwest. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who participated.

Greetings! For those who can join us in person for race day tomorrow, Sunday, February 22, 2026, the start time is 9 am at the Ely Regional Trailhead Center located on the west end of Ely. Public parking is available on side streets and at the gravel pit just beyond Dutchman Tree Service. Handicapped parking is along Sheridan near the 4th Avenue W entrance.

We are excited to have the following groups assisting with the WolfTrack Classic Sled Dog Race this year. Minnesota North - Vermilion Campus Law Enforcement and Sled Dog Class are helping with parking, road crossing, and as handlers. Team Rubicon is helping at road crossings. The Prospector Loop and Babbitt ATV Clubs are providing ATVs with drivers to shuttle teams to the start line. The Ely Igloo Club is helping with grooming the start chute.

It takes an army of volunteers to make the race happen. Thank you to everyone for all the support.

The WolfTrack Classic Crew would like to thank the City of Ely for all the race support. Without the support of Mayor Omerza, the City Council, Harold Langowski, and many other city workers, this race could not happen. We are grateful to run the race out of the Ely Regional Trailhead this year. The new building is perfectly appointed and showcases our fantastic trail system.
