Looking forward to STRF 2025, what would you like to see at the event? Let us know!

This year we had:
• BBQ Food truck
• Concession: Popcorn & drinks
• Model T group
• Motorcar owners display(s)
• The always present, SP 127 “Alamo”
• Hirail truck display(s)

We are thinking of expanding our event with the addition of some military reenactment folks, dressed in period clothes.
We are also thinking of inviting some other car clubs out, in addition to the hopeful return of the Model T guys!
Maybe we could even get some live music…

Who knows what the future hold, but we are shooting to make this next event even better than the last!

We would like to thank everyone who was able to make it out today for the first Rail Fest in six years!

For a restart of an even that’s been absent for a while, in a completely new location, todays even was a success. We are already looking forward to next years event! With the location we are expanding into, we will be able to bring you, our guest, even more activities! We are looking at also including a potential swap meet for modelers who may have something they want to barter or sell.

Hopefully, if all goes well, we may have the spur tracks down and have both an operational locomotive and caboose to entertain our guest with!

Keep your fingers crossed everything falls into place.

ATTENTION!!!!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS, MAY 11th, 2024 is the date for the next South Texas Rail Fest!!!

The event will be held at the San Antonio Railroad Heritage Museum, Elmendorf Yard location, located at 203 Bexar Ave, Lot 2.

This will be the first Fest in six years, so getting things back into the swing might take a year or so. This new location is also under development and will be changing over the coming years. As such, the size of the even will also grow!

Stay tuned as more information as to what we will be having at this years even is confirmed!
