Join us for an afternoon with historian and author Ish Martinez as he shares the story of Las Villas. Growing up at his family’s Sunny Acres Hotel, Ish has an in-depth, personal knowledge of the daily life and cultural impact of these Puerto Rican vacation retreats.

He’s been featured on TV and radio, and now he’s coming to the Museum to share the memories, the hustle, and the heart of Plattekill’s villa industry. Join us to explore how these resorts became a cultural home-away-from-home.
