2017 FAIR HILL CHALLENGE was a huge success thanks to everyone who came out to support the race, the racers, their families, all the volunteers, trail help, the cooks, photographers and especially the awesome team of Officials that brought their experience, professionalism and love of the sport together to run this race like a well oiled machine this weekend!!! Dan Rehak, John and Christina Gates, Ed Scheckner, Len Haring, Johnn Molburg, Rich Stanitis none of this would have happened without you. Thank you for your patience with me as I learn the ropes and for believing we can get this race successfully run after the long run of cancellations in the past years. Many many thanks to you ALL!!! I'd thank each and every one of you by name, but I just peeled off my boots, and I'm afraid I'd forget someone! So if you were there, you played a part of the success and I thank you!!!! Also special thanks to Jess Borman who answers my endless questions and fixes so many glitches, and Chris Jacobs for transporting all sorts of equipment and necessities to the race site!!

Everyone coming out to train this am: We will be out setting up the trail at 8. ***There are horse and riders camping at the race site!! They will be leaving, but NO DOGS/TEAMS
are to come out on to the race course until you get the go ahead from Ed or myself, We are putting up barriers so no one leaves our main train. I don't want any dogs hooked up while the horses are prepping to leave!!!!!! They are calling for cold blustery wind and we'll all have plenty of time to run. If anyone is arriving later than lunch time please give either Ed 610-999-2316 or myself 717 314 0374 a call or text!! Pulled pork sandwiches will be available mid morning!! Hope to see you there!!!!

A big thanks to all who came to the Fair Hill Challenge to race and to help!! I have a newfound respect to all the people who do not run dogs but are out all day with frozen hands and feet just to make sure everyone gets out to have a good run. It took lots of good people to make this race happen! All the officials and PSDC board members who provided guidance and suggestions, and especially the competitors, without all of you we would not have had a race. I appreciate all the support and hope you all come back next year to help rebuild the FHC to what it was in years past. I think we have a safe, fast trail that folks can really let the dogs roll along on. Like the old adage says; if you're not happy about something tell me!! If you are happy about it tell your friends!! I hope you all had fun and I hope to see you all next time!!!
