We want to thank everyone who came to our event Friday night, Dec 5th. Our committee & volunteers along with the downtown shops and restaurants were thrilled to see everyone enjoying the Elkin holiday spirit!
We hope you enjoyed our Light Up show, Santa vs. the Grinch! We heard the crowd gasp as the Grinch unplugged our holiday lights and took off up the stairs... he was very naughty. But Santa saved the day...
Also, thanks goes out to all of our event coordinators and vendors, who braved the chilly temperatures under tents, dancing on stage, giving pony rides, hayrides and train rides... and of course the folks (and sweet animals) at the live nativity!
On behalf of the Elkin Main Street Advisory Board, who organizes this event for the community, we'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday, and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Don't forget that our window decorating contest continues thru to Dec 14th, the night of the YADKIN VALLEY CHRISTMAS PARADE, starting at 5pm. Come downtown, see the beautiful windows and vote for your favorites by goint to FB page ELKIN MAIN STREET and there is a post at the top of the page that says VOTE HERE. Each "like" of a photo is a vote for that business to win!
