The Elizabethtown Fair is adding several special contests to commemorate the Americal 250 celebration.
AMERICA 250 COMPETITIVE EXHIBITS CONTEST
Celebrating 250 Years of America
RULES:
1. Exhibitors may enter only one item in only one of the categories below.
2. Entry must be patriotic and include the colors red, white and blue.
3. Entry may not be political.
4. Entry will be judged on overall appearance, creativity and workmanship.
5. Exhibitor must be an amateur.
6. Due to space limitations, types and sizes of entries are restricted.
7. Entries are to be registered online through the Showman App by midnight August 21, 2026.
PREMIUMS: Each category will have one winner of $50.00
Vegetables
Entry must use vegetables grown by the exhibitor.
Vegetables may be painted or presented in a patriotic display.
Exhibit may not exceed 18” x 18”.
Baked Goods - cakes, cookies, bars
The entry must be baked from scratch.
Cakes should not exceed 13” L x 18” W or 12” in diameter.
Entries will be judged on appearance and taste and then sold at the baked goods auction.
Flowers
All entries must be grown and displayed by the exhibitor.
Exhibit should be an artistic arrangement not to exceed 12” L x 12” W x 15” H.
Needlecraft
Entries are limited to wall hangings and will be displayed on a clothesline.
Exhibit should not exceed 24” x 24”.
Art
All art entries must be in a frame and should not exceed 90” perimeter including frame.
Photography
Photograph must be 8” x 10” and submitted in a page protector.
Handcrafts
The craft entry should not exceed 12” L X 18” W.
Legos and K’nex’s are not included in this contest.
