We are proud to announce that with the support of our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and community supporters, we were able to donate $4000 to the River’s Edge Trail board this week. 🎉 This brings our total donations to the trail since starting our race three years ago to $11,500. We hope to keep growing our event and impact with your continued support, and look forward to hosting the River’s Edge Trail Half Marathon again in 2026.

We are just a few days away from our 2025 River’s Edge Trail Half Marathon! You should have received an email earlier this week with information about packet pickup, parking, start times, course and spectator info, and post race food. Please reach out if you are registered and did not receive this email. We will see you at Memorial Park for packet pickup on Friday evening, 9/26, from 5:30-7 or Saturday morning between 6:30-7:30. 👟 ☀️ We are looking forward to a beautiful weekend!

Pre-registration for our 2025 River’s Edge Trail Half Marathon has been EXTENDED. Register by 9/8 and receive all the perks (long sleeved tee, wooden finisher medal, post race breakfast) on race day. Our event is quickly approaching on Saturday, September 27th, and offers both running and walking options. (We don’t mind if you do some of both. 😉) Proceeds will be going to the River’s Edge Trail. 🏃🏽 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️

Our course route for this year will be very similar to last year. Runners will still start at Memorial Park in Eldora. They will run through town, eventually heading north to Steamboat Rock on the River’s Edge Trail. They will then head back to Eldora through Pine Lake State Park, finishing at Memorial Park.

What to expect:
🏃🏼‍♀️ The first 8 miles of the race will be largely flat or a slight downhill.
🏃🏼‍♂️ There will be a steep 1/3 mile climb after getting to Steamboat Rock past the conservation cabins. This will take then you on a more downhill run through the state park. You will hit one more hill just as you are finishing coming up into town.
🏃🏼‍♂️ Beautiful views 😍 It is such a scenic area-we look forward to sharing it with you!

More info to come on spectator locations, water/aid stations, and bathroom opportunities along the route.

Enjoy a scenic run through the Iowa River Greenbelt, hosted with small town hospitality. Starting and ending in Eldora, IA, the route will take you on the new River’s Edge Trail and through beautiful Pine Lake State Park. Proceeds from the race go to the new trail.
