A. M. Calls A. M. Calls are friction turkey calls with petrified wood is the key component. One can make a variety of very real sounds. The pot is a work of art.

Petrified wood is the key component in my calls. It produces sound quality that cannot be matched by anything else. It has a natural rough texture to it and has grain to it like wood does. I prefer to call against the grain but one can call with the grain and get a different sound. I feel it is best to not lift your striker when using my calls, they produce sound by the vibration of the entire pot

and not just the top of the call. My patented shape (patent no. D72148) produces quality sound with almost any type of wood. The pot of my call is made by gluing 4 pieces of wood together, this patent-pending process produces a very strong pot that has a unique look. The purrs made by my calls are second to none and have fooled some old toms. The patent-pending process of using petrified wood as a striking surface gives the turkey hunter an option that is different and produces a very real sound. If petrified wood gets wet, it will dry out in about ten minutes. To condition them, sand with the grain and you will find that it doesn't need to be done very often.

I was at Simmons Sporting Goods in Bastrop today getting my deer scored. I met this young man from Crossett Arkansas was in there with his parents. I found out last week I was granted a design patent on this call. That’s patent number 5 for me. My Tunable Box Call is the only one I have pending at this time. I do still have some ideas in my head.
