You may know that the kaleidoscopic mandala backdrops at the back of the worldOne Festival stage each year are created by local photographer Fletcher Oakes... and if you've been 'up front' on the lawn to watch performances closer to the stage, you've probably spied the man in action - deep in concentration - as he takes a plethora of photos throughout the event.
Here is his album of images from the 2025 fest.
Take a look-see!

The annual World One Festival happens in El Cerrito every July 4. It's a wonderful community event. Great music, sunny day, high spirits. The lineup was particularly good this year. It included Gamelan Sekar Jaya, Sister Carol, LaGente SF, and closing the day, Luv Phenomena.

Thank you, One and All. Sharing reflections from me for we ... from your festival Co-Producer, Debra Sue here. We are filled with so much love and gratitude, and a deep + happy winding-down post-festival weariness...! We haven't stopped yet, still packing up, breaking down, sorting through ... we have weeks of work to do. Then, we'll rest ... deeply.

Right now, it's time to celebrate our "Blesstival" time ~ with you! And Big Up our collaborators at the City of El Cerrito for presenting worldOne festival with us!

worldOne festival 2025 made SO much beauty and offered such profound upliftment ~ sharing love and life, so needed, especially in these troubling times. Our 27th annual worldOne festival flavor included a special July 3rd opening with Tibetan monks sharing a chant for lovingkindness, compassion and peace for all sentient beings ~ from our worldOne stage. Behind them, our mandala backdrop echoed this expansive message. Our Main Stage festival mandala was created by beloved octogenarian photographer + friend, Fletcher Oakes Photography ! worldOneLove "Shake Your Beauty" deejay set followed, delighting us with musical healing and joy. Mahalo, Corazon!

Sharing more ... July 4th festival day highights included Amazingly Musicalities … AND California Senator Adam Schiff making a special appearance at OUR worldOne July 4th festival!! … and included an overlapping unexpected Free Palestine protest with flags, banner and bullhorn. Corey placed his inclusive and heart healing balm over it all ~ for U.S. ALL.

Musically - what a rich tapestry we had. From Gamelan Sekar Jaya's Balinese bamboo orchestra with dancers in the grass, Grammy nominated roots reggae icon, Sister Carol sharing her strong female empowerment message thru and thru true ! Latin Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton with LA GENTE SF, were On Fire ~ and so filled with passion, music, and messages political, inviting, open ~ wow and Pow! … and finally jazzy, positive conscious hip hop Luv Phenomena with Chris Burger reminding we all to drop the ego, give love, care for seniors, be kind … and on and on …

All experienced a real tapestry of musicality and so much more in this rich + flavorful layer cake called worldOne festival. It’s beautiful beyond to see/receive love everywhere… in every breeze-kissed shimmering flag, in every sunflower, every paraded iridescent "umbrellyfish" and every word and sound from the performers… in the sparkling eyes of our generous volunteers, in looking around and seeing warm smiles from picnic blankets, joy-filled face painted children (roar!) barefoot in the grass, dancers grooving to the music, feeling the love lifting up spirits ~ and consciously ... or not (!) we ~ all ~ together ~ echoing and transmitting a new depth of connection, wholeness and love out into the world from our little patch of Pacha Mama. It is a healing feeling we hope stays with you and nourishes your heart.

We worked HARD for weeks, months, long days, long to-do lists, so many moving parts, with beautiful volunteers who "get the message" we wish to cultivate, of worldOneLove galore ... and join us in our sweat, prayers, and all…

You are invited to join us and be part of this healing feeling ~ which begins way before July 4th and straight on through, true...!

Corey and I are utterly filled in heart ~ and are, each year, emptied completely ~ as we offered up everything ~ like salmon on their compassed journey annually back to the source where it all began … 27 circles around the sun complete.

You can help uplift US and our worldOne vision today by supporting our Go Fund Me efforts.

Pic of the afternoon…
As the worldOne Festival winds down, the stage sunflowers are always brought to the Info/Drawing/Sales booth so folks can donate $1 for a stem. This is a shot of one of the UC Theatre‘s crew of helpers, as he carried over a load of blooms during the final performance of the afternoon.
